This was such a great book! When I wasn’t listening to it, I wanted to be. Narrator was fantastic. She had to do several different voices and nailed it! I can’t wait to listen to the next one in the series. Highly recommend this fun read.

Really good book! Storyline was terrific. I couldn’t stop listening because I wanted to find out what was going to happen. The narrator would’ve been 5 stars if she wouldn’t have kept saying words like “impor-dant” for important and “cur-dan” for curtain. (Her T’s were always D’s at the end of a word.) This was throughout the whole book and it was distracting to me.
Can’t wait to start the next book in the series!

I wasn't sure if I would like this book based on the sample. I'm so glad I took a chance on it. I was sad when the story ended... I know there is an entire series, but I really want to hear more about Hugh and Delaney. Anyway, if you're hesitating on buying this book, don't! It's a very entertaining read. The narrator is absolutely perfect for this book, too!

Among the fake blood and skeletons is the corpse of Shannon herself. Since the whole town knows Shannon recently had a very public spat with her estranged husband, Erik, he's suspect number one. I loved the story. It kept my attention through the entire book. My problem was with the narration. Several words were pronounced incorrectly, and she sounded like she had a cold- stuffy nose throughout the entire book. This got to be rather annoying. Does the author or production company not proof the story prior to release? I mean- saying "carrot-id" instead of carotid. "Trivolda" for Travolta. As in John. And that's not all. If you're going to make a profession out of narrating, at least take some nasal spray and learn to pronounce words correctly.

First of all, the story was great. It kept me up late at night not wanting to stop listening. Disappointed by the ending a bit, but that's why it is a series I suppose. The narration was really good for females other than the whisper she does at times - makes it hard to hear. The male voices are not good. Very low like a whisper and gruff. They sound unreal and all the males sounded exactly the same. I would not let this deter you from purchasing this book though. The content is good enough to stand alone.

I almost quit listening a few times. It was slow and dragged in parts. However, there are good pieces to this story as well. The narrator was okay...but sounded pretty depressed much of the time. I get that this is a sad topic, but it takes away from the story to have such a melancholy voice the whole time. I've read better stories from this author.
