One his best books, in my opinion. Dr. Fuhrman is the go to man for health information. He even weaves some history into this one. I really enjoyed listening to this. Maybe not everyone will feel the same but I believe this man.

Today, most doctors, dietitians, and even diabetes specialists consider type 2 diabetes to be a chronic and progressive disease - a life sentence with no possibility of parole. But the truth, as Dr. Fung reveals in this paradigm-shifting book, is that type 2 diabetes is reversible. Writing with clear, persuasive language, he explains why conventional treatments that rely on insulin or other blood-glucose-lowering drugs can actually exacerbate the problem, leading to significant weight gain and even heart disease.

Dr. Fung is an amazing doctor! He has simplified something that has confused so many and has kept them slaves to diabetes treatments. I wish that someone had had the guts and desire to give this information before I lost both of my parents to complications with diabetes! All I can hope is that I can apply this to myself and make some changes so that others can ask about it and I can tactfully recommend they read this book to explain it. Thank you Audible for making this available and THANK YOU, Dr. Fung for telling us the truth! I am not doomed, WE are not doomed to die early because of diabetes or other complications associated with it. There is hope. It takes some work but so well worth it! In the immediate, I am going to share this with my kids and close friends for sure.

The work tells the story of Jane's early life, her experience at Lowood School and as a governess. Her refusal to accept Rochester's love on any but her own strictly moral terms is a passionate cry for independence.

Ms. Stevenson did a fantabulous job of narrating this story! I loved her voice changes and speed of speaking with each different character. It took me a while to listen to the whole thing, but every time I got to listen I enjoyed it like a great movie but better.

I had some hesitancy about fasting for health and weight loss for somw time. I had heard about it but and what's involved but I'm the kind of person that lives knowing the whys and how something works. This book helped with that. Understanding the science of hiw the human body works and reacts to certain things such as fasting for different periods of time was fascinating to me! The fact that it has proven to work well with helping diabetics reverse their disease is so amazing! And its free!! I'm not diabetic but perhaps prediabetic. Sadly, many years ago I lost both of my dear parents to diabetes. Since then the fear of living my life having to take medications and insulin shots kept me searching for ways to lower my weight and keep blood sugar levels normal. It has been such a struggle because the CRaP method has always been tied up in my mind with no matter what diet I've tried! I think Dr. Fung has given me the best hope to be able to accomplish my goals. I am ever so grateful to have seen one if his lectures on You Tube which prompted me to find his book!
