Clara Kelley is not who they think she is. She's not the experienced Irish maid who was hired to work in one of Pittsburgh's grandest households. She's a poor farmer's daughter with nowhere to go and nothing in her pockets. But the other woman with the same name has vanished, and pretending to be her just might get Clara some money to send back home.

I very much enjoyed this book especially having lived in Pittsburgh & being familiar with the Carnegie's influence in the city,
I felt the premise of the ladies maid giving financial advice, though interesting, a little bit of a stretch. But then anything is possible and it is nice to imagine that a working woman of that time period could have such an influence.

For nearly 2,000 years, only one Druid has walked the Earth - Atticus O'Sullivan, the Iron Druid, whose sharp wit and sharp sword have kept him alive as he's been pursued by a pantheon of hostile deities. Now he's got company. Atticus' apprentice, Granuaile, is at last a full Druid herself. What's more, Atticus has defrosted an archdruid long ago frozen in time, a father figure (of sorts) who now goes by the modern equivalent of his old Irish name: Owen Kennedy. And Owen has some catching up to do.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I have listened to all of the Druid chronicles and this one was by far my favorite! It has it all..adventure, romance, humor, great plot!! Can't wait for the next book.

What other book might you compare Shattered to and why?

I work in a high school library and I describe it as Percy Jackson for adults!

What does Luke Daniels bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Love his voice for Oberon! He is able to give every character a personality..even the dogs..
