53 Chapters of one character narrating. 11 hrs.of his talking about himself and his sexual exploits. There was never very much focusing on the serial killer aspect. I quit so many times, then thought, it can't get worse, so maybe it will change focus and get better. I was wrong. What a huge disappointment after seeing good reviews. I won't be looking for another by this author. I will say the narrator Santino Fontana did a fine job. I think this narrator is worthy of better books.

The subject matter was a bit disturbing but domestic abuse is an unfortunate fact. It was a decent story done with enough reality but not overdone due to other plots going on. Those are what held my interest and it ended in a way I liked though no real surprise. Not a favorite but not a waste of sale price money. Not worth a credit.

The first half was a pretty good read then the reveal came. That was a disappointment but I stuck with it and a new twist kept me going. The ending was another bit of disappointment. Overall not thrilled with it. And it really needs a different narrator. British accent? Really?

Thanks to the dog's telling the story I finished. There was nothing in the story that kept my interest. Not much of a story at all really. Boring plot.
It was nice to meet Chet the dog but I won't be seeing him again.

This was a story that captivated me and has remained one of my very few all-time favorites for years! The clever intertwining of 2 men's lives, each a great story of their own just doubles the reader's pleasure. The paths of Kane & Abel keep crossing through their rivalry and successes while neither knows they each owe the other a great debt of gratitude. It had me from page one the first time I read it years ago and it had me from the first sentence this time. Culp did a great and believable job with the accents and the inflections. Very nice narrating to do this book justice.

A good story with several aspects going on. It was entertaining but not riveting. I found the excess length detracted from what should have been enjoyment. This made it hard to continue at times.
