Faith Hunter and Khristine Hvam create the perfect storm of exquisite writing and a performance so dynamic, it’s like she breaths life into every written word then gives it flight. The first few words of each book is like coming home to a beloved friend waiting on your porch with a warm smile and open arms. With this amazing team, you are not just thoroughly entertained, it’s an immersive experience seldom replicated in the world of audiobooks. If you love Jane Yellowrock and Soulwood, you will also love Kresley Cole’s “Immortals After Dark” series.

First let me say, Chris Hayes is not only an excellent writer but a great narrator, it feels like you are listening to a friend tell you a series of stories.
The stories are told from all points of view and from every angle so that you are able to see just how complex the issues surrounding law and order actually are. I think when Rachel Maddow said Chris doesn't offer a solution, she was a tad off, the solution he offers is that we must make a choice, we all have to choose between true equality and the sense of security (false or otherwise) we get from maintaining order.

I had to really go back and think about Marcus's story and remember that he was in love with Bethany and she never knew it because he loved Robert as well and wanted to share in their life. It is funny that Marcus ends up with someone from a different planet after loving a woman from a different time. As always, excellent writing, amazing characters, clever dialogue, and an extensively talented narrator come together to make magic! If you like the people from 2 different worlds aspect, try the Fantasyland series by Kristen Ashley or Katie MacAlister's Dark Ones and Aisling Grey/Dragons series'

When a great author, story, & narrator come together it equals magic. This series will keep you hooked from word one to the last, will make you laugh out loud and smile through your tears. One of the best paranormal romance series I've had the pleasure to experience.
If you like this series, try anything by Kresley Cole, jeniene frost, Tessa Dawn, and Seven series by I can't remember the author :)
