Clever and made me smile. Mr. Hart talks a bit fast, watch a stand up clip on YouTube with your eyes closed if you like that you will like this. Oh and for those that don't speak fluent French and don't like sailors this is probably not your book. But if you like Kevin and want some background on him this book is funny and informative👌

Nothing earth shattering in this book. Not a lot of new information. I did enjoy the Lizzy Borden case and the way each case was broken down with the art of profiling. Superb narration and the book was easy to follow. I have gotten over my interest in true crime as most of the cases are just too horrific but this book was light on the gore.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I think books like these may be more harmful than good. I was like aha I have figured out the mystery to relationships and realized we are all doomed. Far too black and white and not true some of us avoid and some of us cling but that does not mean either party is wrong. Don't demonize your spouse instead look in the mirror, pull your own planks.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Joe Farinacci?

Greal narration and for that reason I took it far too seriously.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Avoidant?

Nothing great book.

Any additional comments?

Yes I think there is hope for most every relationship. I think we are all a little narcissistic. I also believe if we gave a little more than we received we would be loved a little more every day. Relationships are investments, treat yourself like your new car or your brand new house , cherish your relationship. On that note read the book Cherish.

Do you sometimes feel as if you're just going through the motions in life? Are you good at looking and acting as if you're fine, but secretly feel lonely and disconnected? If so, you are not alone. The world is full of people who have an innate sense that something is wrong with them - who feel they live on the outside looking in, but have no explanation for this feeling and no way to put it into words.

What did you love best about Running on Empty?

I love anything that can change my thought process and help me make changes in myself and this book did that.

What other book might you compare Running on Empty to and why?

None stand alone book here folks.

Which character – as performed by Karen White – was your favorite?

No characters, the narrator was great though.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I had an extreme change of heart about my own patterns and my own behavior.

Any additional comments?

I don't think we all have a narcissist. I don't think people are incapable of change. I do think we have all been hurt. I do think we could all be better people. And aside from Jesus there is no redemption. But I think there are thoughts that are profound and help to make us better spouses, better parents, or better friends and this book is full of those thoughts. So if you want a book that tells you why your loved one is your narcissist this isn't the book, but if you want a book that helps you get past your own pain and helps you break the cycle this is it! 5 stars is not enough but that's all audible allows.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, I would recommend very few books to a friend, if I did it would be the Bible.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have had made the story a little more thrilling more action.

Was We Are Legion (We Are Bob) worth the listening time?

No but it didn't put me too sleep.

Any additional comments?

I made it 2 hrs in and the guy is still learning how to navigate his robot body or lack there of and I just can't listen anymore. The reviews were good but the book it wasn't my thing. Maybe it's the Sci fi thing I don't love. Hyperion was also raved about bu after ten attempts I still can't do it so it's probably me. But I did love Enders Game so that's all folks.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

No, however by the many positive reviews I may be wrong. But I did listen to it so I could write a review. And even if the book hadn't gone against my value system I would give it one star, boring on ever level.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Caitlyn Jenner - exclusive introduction and Erin Bennett ?

I think Bruce did a fine job.

Any additional comments?

I am appalled that we live in a society that thinks one must accept this new narrative. Bruce Jenner has six children that will now pay the consequences for HIS decision. His daughters were already a hot mess I can only imagine what this will do to them. He will never know what it is like to be a woman he is a man, he can play dress up all day long. I I don't care if someone fashioned new genitals for this guy that doesn't make a he a she. I don't know why as a society we have become so deranged that we think it's abnormal to call a spade a spade. One might ask why purchase a book that I felt so negative about? Easy I wanted to add my two cents to this sh *t show.

Elisabeth Rodgers is cool.
However this book may have been written by a parrot.

Would you be willing to try another book from Terry Goodkind? Why or why not?

No, no, and again no. Mr. Goodkind is consistent however when I say consistent I mean repetitive I could literally sum of this disgusting book in about 1 chapter. And too top it off I don't like books where people get there eye balls dug out of their skull or where people gnaw off fingers ewwwwwwww.

What three words best describe Elisabeth Rodgers’s performance?

Too the point.

Was Nest worth the listening time?

Listen to the first 15 min and you heard it all so errrm no.

I really knew I shouldn't get this book but I thought what the hay look at all the positive reviews I thought wrong👀

In a culture that idealizes motherhood, it’s scary to confess that, in your house, being a mother is beautiful and dirty and joyful and frustrating all at once. Admitting that it’s not easy doesn’t make you a bad mom; at least, it shouldn’t. When Jill Smokler was first home with her small children, she thought her blog would be something to keep friends and family updated. To her surprise, she hit a chord in the hearts of mothers everywhere. As other women shared their stories, Jill realized she wasn’t alone in her feelings of exhaustion and imperfection.
