Caleb Masterson is, by all accounts, a successful adult. He graduated college, found a job he loves, and has a place to call home. Unfortunately, he knows what he desires in a relationship is considered too “high-maintenance” for most men and he has decided to not even bother looking. He’s happy with his decision until a sexy man with salt-and-pepper hair limps into his physical therapy office and turns his world upside down. Careful attention to detail and a need to be in control have helped Travis Barton become the owner of a successful construction company.

I'm newish to this type of story and this is a great one for a newbie, it's written beautifully giving an intriguing look into this world. I loved the sweetness of the relationship and seeing it grow. The support characters were also interesting and I hope to get some of their stories as well. Narration was done well making it a really pleasant listen.

One perfect night with Hollywood superstar Luke Watson. Six years ago, he was just the gorgeous stranger across the room. That elusive one-night stand who can electrify you with a touch. Until I tried the phone number he’d left and got dead air. Then he was just that jerk who’d played me. And himself. Because I never could shake that feeling that we could’ve had something real. A few months later, my mystery man’s face was on every billboard, his name on every lip. Impossible to get away from, even as I knew I’d never be alone with him again.

I'll start with what I liked. The characters, the story line that's all great it's fun and flirty and sweet. I love Michael Pauley as a narrator and I am so not sure what happened here. I mean he does a lovely job and his voice is great to listen to BUT this takes place in England, I'm pretty sure and it's all in an American accent. I mean it wasn't BAD just confusing and distracting. Overall I did enjoy it.

So, this one was hard I did like the characters and the story and when the narrator was just telling the story it was fine, when we got into voicing the characters and dialog it was just way OTT with exaggerated/silly and not very good accents which is a shame because it took away from the story and made it a bit of a tough listen.

This is a complicated book to narrate with over 10 different characters and voices to maintain, Johnson does an amazing job with it and truly made the story come to life. The story itself is a little bit OTT, crazy fun, sad and heartbreaking a true emotional roller coaster. Having been born and raised in NJ some of the references irritated me and just didn't fit but overall it's a good listen.
