It had been quite some time since the last installment and I was happy to see the new book but not excited to start it. But when I got back into the story I couldn’t stop listening. All our favorite characters with more focus on a couple.

There are quite a lot of questions unresolved at the end of the book especially about some of the side characters so I am looking forward to the next installment. I am also hoping Nextflix has picked this up!!

This is a book of two distinct tales. I really enjoyed it and it takes the series in a bit of a different direction. I do miss Molly's chums (Sid, Gus and Ryan) who make only a brief appearance.

When the doors of the lift crank open, the only thing Thomas remembers is his first name. But he's not alone. He's surrounded by boys who welcome him to the Glade - a walled encampment at the centre of a bizarre and terrible stone maze. Like Thomas, the Gladers don't know why or how they came to be there - or what's happened to the world outside. All they know is that every morning when the walls slide back, they will risk everything - even the Grievers, half-machine, half-animal horror that patrol its corridors, to try and find out.

If you could sum up The Maze Runner in three words, what would they be?

Mystery, Adventure, Action

What did you like best about this story?

The mystery and how it unfolds as you read. You can pick up certain clues as you listen to the story.

Have you listened to any of Mark Deakins’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I hadn't. He was a very good narrator, clear and distinct for each character

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Will you escape the maze?
