I could not get into this book. I missed the continuity of characters so thoroughly detailed in the first book. The MC's in book two aren't well developed and not very interesting. The subplot with Kern seemed a bit out of character for an A.I.

First book by this author and I was blown away. I usually approach the shifter genre with caution. This story nails it. The Sumage Solution has the perfect mix of urban fantasy with m/m romance. Max and Bryan are perfect and the minor characters are just as interesting. The snarky dialog between Max and his coworkers is hilarious. My only complaint is that this story ended too soon.

This is basically a circus story focused on the relationship between Noa and Astrid. The plot is slow and tedious and I couldn't get invested in either main character. If you're looking for historic fiction set in Nazi Germany look elsewhere.

I loved "Lust in the Caribbean" and any story narrated by Craig Beck is worth a try. My bad. I'm always perplexed by authors who right a "M/M" story with one of the main characters clearly female in every way except name, even worse when the "male" becomes pregnant. I don't get the shifter M/M/preg. genre. This story reads like an old Harlequin romance. Ori is the damsel in distress rescued by prince Siv. Ori, when not in "heat", enjoys knitting....
Such a disappointment after "Lust in the Caribbean".

Full disclosure- I'm here for the ScFi story, not gay erotica. I would have enjoyed book 2 so much more if it had been told from the perspective of another main character, like Kyle's brother. I loved book one but I really didn't need a rehash of how Jamie and Kyle roll in bed or Jamie's family drama. (I like butt sex as much as any gay guy, but seriously, TMI !)... The metahuman story line seemed to take back seat to more Jame/Kyle play time. Apart from the sex, the plot in book two is all about political intrigue (kinda boring) and Jamie's ongoing conflicts with his farther. Lots of over the top angst that seemed out of character for a guy like Jamie. The metahuman good guy/bad guy battles are minor and infrequent.
I'll consider book three with caution (and rubber gloves).

Cute entertaining story, but with the wrong narrator. If his intent was to give Cal the voice of Thurston Howell, III (Gilligan's Island) then he nailed it. Stick with the Kindle version.

This is a reminder to always read the reviews for follow-up books in a series. "Fear the Sky" is a decent story; love the premise. The plot begins to stall in book 2. There is some very good (but brief) chapters tying up loose ends from book 1, but the book is filled with long rambling passages of filler lacking any story content. Book 3 goes off the rail with the introduction of multiple plot threads and new characters. The ending is rushed and a huge disappointment.

I could only give this book 4hr. of my life; now gone forever. The main character is a obnoxious, whinny 15yr. old too stupid to live.
