I got a little confused as to which book came after Book 5 and ended up listening to Book 7 before Book 6. I cannot remember what confused me but for those of you that may also wonder, here is the order after BOOK 5: The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires (BOOK 6), then A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses (BOOK 7), then I'm Dreaming of an Undead Christmas (BOOK 8)...no chapters in this book, it is like ONE BIG CHAPTER...7 hours long. Then at the end of Book 8 it tells you the next book correctly.

Molly Harper is now my FAVORITE author! Her writing is so witty and funny. There are very detailed splashes of romance, some might suggest it is erotica, well placed throughout her writing. Regardless of your thoughts on romance her books are well worth reading and expanding your list of best authors! I was never into the Harlequin Romance type novels since that explicit writing did not interest me but in Molly's writings, it seems to fit. Possibly since we know that vampires are sexual beings. Her characters are very funny, smart-assed and well thought out. I love how all the books in the series have all of my loved characters in them. Excellent writer! Keep 'em coming!!

Nothing sucks the romance out of world travel like a boyfriend who may or may not have broken up with you in a hotel room in Brussels. Jane Jameson's sexy sire Gabriel has always been unpredictable, but the seductive, anonymous notes that await him at each stop of their international vacation, coupled with his evasive behavior over the past few months, finally push Jane onto the next flight home to Half Moon Hollow -- alone, upset, and unsure whether Gabriel just ended their relationship without actually telling her.

Once a devoted children's librarian, Jane Jameson now works at a rundown occult bookstore. Once a regular gal, she's now a vampire. And instead of a bride, she's an eternal bridesmaid -- which leads her to question where exactly her relationship with her irresistibly sexy sire, Gabriel, is headed. Mercurial, enigmatic, apparently commitment-phobic vampires are nothing if not hard to read.

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

In The Land: Predators, the Mist Village has harnessed its power. With core buildings, professional fighters, and now their own dungeon, the settlement is primed to grow into a kingdom of true power and magic. The path to power has not been without risk, however. The MistVillage has been noticed. Evil nobles from the Kingdom of Law, bloodthirsty goblins from the Serrated Mountains, an undead lord with a penchant for human sacrifice, and fanatical kobolds from the Depths all plot the village's destruction.

This is a very different book than others I have read in the past. I LOVE this book and the imagination of the author (also the narrator) is so interesting you forget you are listening to a book and not really there. He does an excellent job narrating his book as well. I feel like this fictional story could actually be a possibility. It is really cool! Shena

Possibly the best or at least ONE of the BEST authors of all time. Aleron's writing style is so familiar it makes you FEEL like you are THERE! His writing is witty, intelligent, funny and I absolutely LOVE IT! I don't even play RPGs or other games for that matter. I started listening to audible a few months ago to preoccupy my time while I drive 4 hours (one way) to Pittsburgh once a month. This is the 4th book I had started...and OMG! I have probably listened to the whole series that is available on audible now (books 1 through 6) about 5 times now... or maybe more... I have lost count! I would have bought and read the latest book, The Land: Predator, but I LOVE Nick Podehl as Richter!! He is such a great ADDITION to such a GREAT STORY!! I love ALL the characters really. I know this is corny but I feel like they are all "part of the family" now since listening to these books sooooo many times. My husband just grunts in pain when he comes in from outside and hears the "ding...know this..." Everyone who contributes their voices to this book is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. but Richter and Scion (sp? ---since only have audible so far-- lol) ARE the BEST characters. Aleron's references to current events and current day issues is refreshing. The humanitarian aspect of Richter's character relates to the issues the World has been dealing with since its birth... he realizes his view of certain aspects in life "changes" depending on the circumstances he encounters in the Land. He sees BOTH sides of things and usually allows his logical side (not emotional side) to prevail.

What an imagination Aleron has and his ability as an author to present it in such an ENTERTAINING fashion is why I say he is possibly the best or at least ONE of the BEST authors ever... for me though.... he IS the best. I don't know how many times I have actually LAUGHED OUT LOUD at a lot of the things he writes. He transports me to the LAND every time I listen. Thank you for your contributions to the literary world!! Shena

Aleron Kong's number-one best-selling LitRPG saga continues in The Land: Swarm. The enemies of the Mist Village are moving, the storm clouds are gathering, what are Richter and Sion to do? Crush the game, that's what! More of everything you love in LitRPG: powerful items, epic battles, awesome quests, and in-depth world building! What happened to Elora? Where is the swarm? Did the rock giant make Richter jelly? What are the colonel's secret spices?
