This is a thoroughly engaging book, beautifully written and the narrator seems a perfect choice.

This version is considerably shorter than the complete book and that is unfortunate. Quick to listen to and well performed but definitely not recommended.

I enjoyed this book and was fascinated by the legal arguments. The narration was good. At the end though I was left thinking that there should have been more. It ended too soon.

I remember reading about the Biafran war - but nothing was ever presented from this perspective. I cared about the characters and their fate and wondered how such rifts can be healed. Very well narrated.

This book is brave, difficult and inspiring. The difficulty lies in the experiences described and the powerlessness experienced. The bravery and inspiration arises from Alan Cummings responses in coming to terms with this trauma. This is a book worth reading.

I was rather disappointed with this collection - initially at least. There are some good stories along and others that are less engaging. Maybe my expectations - based on previous Neil Gaiman books - were too high.

I preordered this book having really enjoyed 'The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry' - then I wasn't so sure this was a good idea. I was wrong- this really is a parallel story that gives so much more depth to the original story. I now have to go back and revisit Harold Fry.... I'm looking forward to listening to this with more understanding of Queenie's story.

It took me longer (than with previous David Mitchell books) to become truly engaged with Number9dream - there were parts I resisted liking. As the story unfolded though, I began to care about Eiji and his fate and it became another book to savour. I may come back to it again in the future - to see what I missed the first time. The reading was excellently performed. Shame he did not also record Black Swan Green....

I have really enjoyed a number of audio books but this is the only one I have ever finished and then immediately gone back to start all over again. I loved the final story but the knowledge of the end made me realise that I had missed all sorts of things on the way. I had to go back and start again. Very rewarding. The narrator was excellent too.
