So I like everything from erotica to a relatively wholesome romance, this story falls closer to the the latter side of the spectrum to a degree. There are some sex scenes but they don’t last long and aren’t overly graphic. The story was awesome and I truly loved the creativity and funny puns laced throughout the series. It is a HEA so don’t get too discouraged but expect twists and turns, along with a lot of sexual tension 😉 if your not the biggest fan of the narrator, like me, I’d still recommend listening to the series, it was well worth the patience.

OK, so I didn’t know what to expect when I started this book, but I am thoroughly surprised by how much I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone not faint of heart. There are some graphic details of abuse and imprisonment but no explicit rape scenes happen. This is more of a love story than a sexually explicit story. The story begins with your main character in prisoned and her story of a for told destiny that awaits her. She also has a love interest that is also imprisoned with her and also has a destiny of his own. Both main characters are strong and willing to fight for what they believe in. This story contains modern times, different dimensions, magic, as well as, magical beings. It does leave on a cliffhanger but the next book is out already so I’ll be moving on to it.

I wanted to give this book a better score but the narrator wasn’t ment to read this story. I like this narrator but the story calls for a more bad ass narrator. The main character is supposed to have been beat on all her life and was a repo woman in the beginning. The narrator’s voice was too nice and soothing for that. Either way the story was very good and I’m excited to see where this goes but I hope they use a different narrator next book.

As others have said, the narrator could have been better. She has too nice of a voice and I would have preferred someone with a more bad ass vibe. None the less the story is worth reading and I’m going to listen to the next one even though it’s the same narrator. I hope they swap the narrators eventually but at this point, I’m still intrigued enough with the story to continue.

I honestly didn’t know where the story was going to go after the first book and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this one. I was happily surprised and still quite entertained with the continuation of Harper and Nox’s love story. It’s definitely worth continuing on and seeing where the author is going. I was also afraid the sex scenes we’re going to be all the same as the last book but they did tend to vary and steam up the pages.

So I read the other reviews and decided to give this book a shot and I was pleasantly surprised! I’m not one who usually likes the “slow burn” love stories but this story kept me interested the whole time after the initial background set up. The author really makes you care about the characters; laugh when they laugh, love what they love, and want to cry with them. It is a long story but before you know it, time flies by and your wishing for more. I’m so glade I spent the credit on this book. If you like “realistic” love stories between slightly broken people, then this is a story you’ll love and be happy you took the time to read.

As always, I love this series. There is just enough crazy and action to keep you entertained for days! If you can’t handle absurd scenarios and kick ass fighting right from the get go, then this book is not for you. If your just looking at this book without reading the rest of the series, your missing out. This series travels through the world of shifting lions, tigers and bears oh my. Throw in in honey badgers, wild dogs and hybrid shifters (such as a lion, polar bear mix) and you’ve got a recipe for outrageous banter and awesome fighting. I’d suggest reading all of them and hang on for the ride as your maneuvered through this crazy world right in your own backyard!

This story is light and not too complicated. If your looking for a shifter novel without a lot of fighting and more romance, than this is your book. There are other paranormal gifts in this world and no real drama. It has a happy ending and sets you up for the next story right at the end.

I don’t mind the girl’s voice when she’s acting as the girl but when she’s acting as the guys it’s kind of obnoxious. I feel bad because I like the story and the male narrator’s voice but by the end of it, I cringed when it was her turn to narrate. However if you can get over that, I’d definitely say this book is worth listening to. I really liked the first one on the series and this one was just as creative and fun as the last.
