Brad Strickland does a wonderful job of picking up where John Bellairs left off... in the spirit of the series this book is very entertaining... and hard to put down.

I am becoming more of a fan of John Bellairs with each book... This book was very interesting and action packed. It was written primarily with Ms. Zimmerman and Rose Rita as the main storyline characters as opposed to Jonathan and Lewis.... so it was enjoyable to go down a different story path with those characters in the forefront.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book... there was a good level of mystery and intrigue in this particular story. The characters are well-developed and the action level is sequenced well in the writing. Personally I wasn't impressed with additional profanity in this book as opposed to the first one... just seemed unnecessary. would like to have had chapter titles enunciated also some kind of musical segue between chapters... overall enjoyed listening to this book

this book was a delight to listen to, the storyline was intriguing.
it was easy to listen to and hard to stop listening. the storyline was easy to follow and the writing was enjoyable. I believe a young child or an avid reader would enjoy this book.
my only complaint is the lack of segway music between chapters or sound effects during the reading.
