This is a horror book, you have people-eating monsters with stacks of corpes. It has a unique intriguing storyline with many twists and too many characters without direction. The book is complex and escalates to a cliffhanger ending. I love a good end of the world story but this one is weak and with a little work could be good.

My husband, son and I listened to this together. Professor Childerswrote this and narrated it. He is a good Narrator and easy to listen to. He maintains your interest as he explains the progress from leading to WWII to the end of WWII. This isa great series for those who want more. He has it divided into sections so unlike a book you can just do this in sections. We at times clustered many sections as it was so interesting. I highly recommend this series.

This is a stand alone book. The characters are underdeveloped yet interesting but needed more development. There is no violence and the storyline needed some work. It isn't easy to follow as it doesn't flow well. At times it is just boring. The narration by Erin Deward was good, she did a good job.
