When a letter from his supposedly deceased mother finds its way into his hands, life changes in an instant for international pop star Bodhi Beckett. Reeling from the deception of those closest to him, Bodhi spirals out of control and is sent to a secluded mansion in the coastal mountains of Southern California for some rest and relaxation. But the retreat proves to be anything but relaxing when a raging wildfire sets the landscape around him ablaze. While escaping the flames, Bodhi rescues Breeze, a quirky, pet-loving woman, and together the two fight their way to safety.

Soooo... I was nervous when I started listening to this story. I fell in love with the characters in the Cake series. After reading and listening to Like the Wind, it is obvious that J. Bengtsson has a special gift of creating characters that stay with you and storylines that are realistic and memorable. This has been added to my list of all-time favorites.

Keith McKallister is the king of the stoners. You know the type. Every school has one - the hot, fun, dopey guy beloved by the student body but despised by, well, just about everyone else. He spends his early mornings in the ocean and his days trying to get to class on time. Life is as easy as it gets until one poor choice too many catches up with him, and he’s forced to reevaluate his path.

First, the narrators are perfect. Andi Arndt is always beyond amazing, and Alex Kydd was a perfect choice for Keith.

I read this story first, and listened to the audible version when it was released. Sam and Keith are just like all of the other characters in this series.... hilarious, lovable, relatable and memorable. This entire series has become my ALL-TIME FAVORITE. I can't wait for the next one.

With all of the pluck and charm of its eponymous young hero, Rachel McAdams ( The Notebook, Spotlight, Midnight in Paris) delivers a spectacular reading of Montgomery's beloved bildungsroman. In moments both funny and bittersweet, McAdams' voice is imbued with the spark that has made Anne a much-loved symbol of individualism and cheer for over a century.

I love the classics, but Anne of Green Gables was never on my must read list. When I saw it was narrated by Rachel McAdams, I knew I must add it to the list. She was a perfect choice for this must read classic. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!!!!
