I'm one of those that listen to many genres, including this type. It seemed to have it all for me...action, drama, a little humor, interesting characters. The clutch started slipping in third gear, however, and seemed to get a little melodramatic for my taste toward the end. The clutch was blown by fourth gear, and it lost traction. I actually didn't finish the last bit due to boredom, so can't say if it got better. I'd moved on. Overall, I don't regret listening to it, well, the first half of it. I wouldn't feel too bad if I'd paid 99 cents for it, but any more and I'd be steamed. Not BAD overall, though.

Noel decides it's time to try something new. She pulls up in her neat little four door sedan and is confronted with a row of Harley's and a mouthwatering specimen.

I took a chance with the erotica genre in an opportunity for a free audiobook for an honest review. Not my normal genre, but I was curious. Went in expecting a chick story, and to a large degree it was. But to my surprise, it flowed well and I was able to suspend reality enough to enjoy the story from a man's perspective instead of the first-person narrator/recipient. I could place myself in the menage a trois as one of the bikers and enjoyed listening what might be going through the woman's mind as the story unfolded. It not only got to the point without excessive emotional drama, but it was short enough for a guy's short attention span. I'd try other titles from this author, although I'd probably be more selective for my personal preferences. Recommended.

I've liked this narrator in other book genres but here his repetitive overly dramatic drone is a distraction to a storyline that carried on and on and never settled into anything interesting. More sleep inducing than intriguing, I finally gave up.

Space is a world devoid of the things we need to live and thrive: air, gravity, hot showers, fresh produce, privacy, beer. Space exploration is in some ways an exploration of what it means to be human. How much can a person give up? How much weirdness can they take? What happens to you when you can’t walk for a year? Have sex? Smell flowers? What happens if you vomit in your helmet during a space walk? Is it possible for the human body to survive a bailout at 17,000 miles per hour?

Couldn't decide if it wanted to be non-fiction or entertainment, but fell flat at the latter. More facts and details would have been nice. Instead she filled in the lulls with potty humor and overly long segments. Definitely could benefit from better editing, but overall a passable weekend listen during yard work.

I've been getting more and more into the survival and zombie genre, but as much as I tried to like this one and gave it every chance, I just had to give up. I don't blame the narrator--no one could make the writing better. Repetitive descriptions, ad naseum, seeming there for filler...levels of detail on a single moment in the story that just dragged on and on, where other ones that could have benefited from elaboration and creative attention were neglected. Unrefined. Needed a series of anchor moments, but instead it was a rambling series of events strung along toward an ending...some day. I rarely return audiobooks, but this one had to go back. Maybe in this genre, overall, this is above mediocre, but not from my experience.

It had potential, but even if the had gotten better (it didn't) the narrator had an almost intentional inflection that, like others have said, made many characters sound like John Wayne. Staccato. Disjointed. Forced. But back to the storyline. The beginning wasn't bad, hoped it would move on to something deeper or something I could immerse myself into or somehow relate to. I have a little left, and I'll finish it, so it's not one I'll completely give up on. But I don't' expect the last couple hours to make up for the torture I've endured already. He crams an hours worth of story into four hours! It's worth only the $1.99 I see it's going for today. At that price, I woundn't feel shortchanged.
