The reader did a fantastic job. She nailed the characters voices so well, especially Sophie's voice.
It's a great story as well but very different from the movie.
I will surely listen to this one again and again.

Phil Gigante is an AWESOME reader. I have always loved his work. I even consider listening to a book he read that I am not interested in because I know he is just THAT good.
The story is a wonderful time travel romance that is one of the beginning of a series that later turns so dark I didn't enjoy it as much but the highlander series by Moning is one of the best ever. I think I have listened to this story about a dozen times, and I am NOT exaggerating. So glad I have this on Audible.

Fabulous stories. Great performance, my only whine is that for the first story, Gabrielle has so many pauses that it became distracting. Maybe she was portraying the tuberculosis of the heroin that way but I felt like it was too often. For Gaslight Hades she was much smoother. I had a bunch of fun with both stories.

Love this book. Wonderfully written smooth read. Characters were developed nicely, the story line flows smoothly. There is some "adult" content but wasn't the main focus of the story. Thank goodness, that is not the reason I read fantasy.
I read it the first time and thought I would try the audio book. I am usually nervous about listening to a book I read that I really liked, sometimes the reader can ruin a book if it's not done right and from the sample I was worried this would be the case. I decided to try it anyway and was VERY happy I did. I feel like the reader did a great job. Her different voices and pronunciation was spot on. I enjoyed listening to it very much. The sample is not a good representation of the readers abilities. I will definitely be listening to this story again.

I love the style of phraseology and feeling of the book. The sex scenes are not over the top and brief. I wish there wasn't any personally but its sweet and stays in the flow of the story. It does have a happy ending which is imperative to me.
The readers performance is wonderful. I was never aware of him reading, each character is distinctive, consistent and personable.
I can recommend this book as a good listen. Enjoy!
