Charlotte couldn't escape from the prison Raymond put her in or from the dark love she found with him. Especially when she realized that the darkness was inside her too. Charlotte: I ran away from my crap life of stripping and living with my father in a trash heap of a trailer. I thought I was headed toward freedom but I woke up in another prison. A prison that was built just for me. He knows things about me that no one should. He sees things in me that I can't see. I don't want to be here. But I don't want to leave him either.

What did you love best about Dark Love: Part One?

Where to begin. So, the blurb really doesn’t cover this book. We start with flashbacks of Raymond’s childhood and then jump to the present day with Charlotte and back and forth. It was a bit confusing for the first third of the book since they didn’t interact with each other. Then she is taken and held by Raymond, but the reason things are the way they are is bizarre at best. There is a voodoo type theme to the book and Raymond is sheltered from the going ons in the house through most of his life. This book definitely grabbed my attention and left me wanting more to figure out the puzzle.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dark Love: Part One?

The whip scene!

What does Logan McAllister and Lacy Laurel bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lacy brings Charlotte to life! I loved the dual narration.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

She has reason to hate me, I know, but I'll take her, I'll break her, and I'll make her mine. That's the only way I can keep my secret.

What did you love best about Dangerous?

I loved the story when I read it, but the audible version was fantastic! They were really able to bring the story to life.

Have you listened to any of Rachel Hine and Joel Froomkin ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first. My favorite are the dual narrations and it was wonderfully done!

Any additional comments?

Blaine Steele is a British bad boy and his family is the largest mob family in London., Blaine has done and seen things that no one should see but there's one thing in his past he can't seem to forget and the guilt eats away at him until he goes to see a psychologist.Mira Holler is a psychologist who hides a secret past and is hiding from her family but she can't fully forget thanks to the scars on her stomach. Mira meets Blaine when walks into her office. There is instant attraction to Blaine but Mira sees the danger and recognizes it as part of her past and knows to stay away from Blaine. He is one client she hopes to never see again.Mira is kidnapped and held for a week by her father and her brother and they are going to use her to gain power by using her to bargain with the Steele family. Blaine is also forced by his father to take a bride that he doesn’t know to appease the Clery family.Although they are attracted to each other, she wants nothing to do with the family and he can’t admit that she means anything to him. He tells her that she is in danger now that she could be used to get to him and she is locked away in their estate and everything needs to go through guards. Even though she realizes she loves him, the fear of the family is stronger and she is still determined to leave him. But will she be able to escape from everyone who is a threat to her?I really liked Blaine and Mira. She was a very strong character who escaped a twistedly wicked family. Blaine was so hot and sexy even though he was a powerful member of the mob. There was quite a few unexpected twists and turns that keep me guessing. I hope there is more to come from this series.5 Stars

My favorite part was the initiation in to the Black Cloud scene….it was over the top amazing.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The game between Jasmine Stallworth and Diego Gomez was intriguing.

Would you consider the audio edition of Through Her Eyes: A Novel to be better than the print version?

They are both very good!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Through Her Eyes: A Novel?

WOW, this is one of those reads that reaches deep inside you and rips your heart out and tears it to little pieces. The way Ms. Harrison writes Aria’s journey is breathtaking. It was an ugly cry for me and I could not put it down. I just had to see how it ended.

I always review without spoilers, so I can’t tell you much about how this plot goes, but I can say that Aria is haunted by her past. She blames herself for her brother’s death and although she told Parker that she didn’t want to be with him, she feels guilty for her feelings for Chase since she and Parker didn’t really resolve their feelings for each other. She feels like she is cheating on him, but she feels so connected to Chase and he is able to support her as she finds herself and she realizes that she is happier than she has been in forever….which hurts her at the same time since she still has unresolved feelings for Parker. When she is forced to go back home and leave the fantasy life she has been living while traveling in Europe may break her beyond anything she can recover from. Will she have found enough of herself that she will be strong enough to survive what New York holds for her? Will she realize that Chase is not the guy for her?

Be prepared that this brings out the ugly cry. To say Aria’s journey is not an easy one is a complete understatement. She is torn between two loves, but can she find the strength to live her life.

Have you listened to any of Caitlin Kelly’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first book by Ms. Kelly.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would have liked to, but it is too long.

Five years ago we lived in the same house. He was the ultimate bad boy. And my foster brother. Now he's back. Tougher, harder, meaner. All of it aimed at me, because I was the one who sent him away. It's payback time. He wants his pound of flesh, and I am helpless to say no.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is my first audiobook, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I would have liked the male to have been voiced by a male. I did like the story.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the way Blue was so protective of Lola even though he wanted to punish her for what happened in the past.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I liked the way she changed voices, but I still would have enjoyed a male voice for Blue.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

I used a Kindle Fire and had to turn the volume up all the way to hear it and even then it was hard to hear in the car. Maybe there is a way to use the car speakers, but I don't know.
