This was a real surprise of an audio book. Not the type of book I would usually go for, but I was pleasantly surprised. The narrator was excellent too. All in all, I would recommend giving this book a go.

When a woman claims that she was brutally assaulted in one of its rooms and left for dead by a staff member, the owners know that they have a potential powder keg on their hands. They turn to Veronica to disprove - or prove - the woman's story.

This book took me completely by surprise. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it actually was.

There are some actual Laugh out loud moments and some good pop culture references. The plot is great too, I won't ruin anything for prospective buyers, but if you are looking for an entertaining Time Travel book that you can finish in one sitting, look no further.

Luke Daniels is at his best here too. His narration for this book is up to his usual High Standard.

Where does Ex-Purgatory rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have listened to all the books in this series so far and they have all exceeded my expectations.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ex-Purgatory?

When the reader finally gets shown the entire "mystery". I had about 80% of it figured out, but the final reveal was unexpected.

What does Jay Snyder bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Jay is a great narrator, and initially, I did miss the additional supporting cast, but after a while I just got used to it. I would still like to see future EX series books with the full cast though

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

not really, but for me, the mark of a good audio book is one that I want to keep on listening to until it's finished. this has only happened a few times with me, and the Ex Series is one of these.

Any additional comments?

Excellent Book, Excellent Performance, Excellent Value. This is a good continuation of the development of the characters. I will definitely be getting the next book.

Hidden Empire is a fantastic book to listen to, and it kept me entertained right through to the end. The reader was fantastic and you could actually difrentiate between different characters. I have listened to several books where the reader used the same tone and pitch for each character, so it was refreshing to be able to easily distinguish between characters.

In short, buy this book. if you are a fan of space opera, you will be glad you did.
