I was getting rather worried that the story wasn't wrapping up but kept expanding. Glad to know the tale isn't over and the next book is nearing conclusion. Hopefully the audio book is close upon it's publishing. Also hoping Nick can continue telling the tale. He's the reason I found this gem, he never fails to provide great entertainment.

The one thing in book 2 I didn't enjoy was the use of foul language. It added nothing, seems more shocking to me when I'm listening to a book vs. reading. Found it a strange departure considering the tone of the 1st book. Hoping the author doesn't continue this trend as he tells a great tale. I'm looking forward to hearing how he brings this story along. At this point I'm not sure I could even guess where things are going, as there were so many new threads introduced and I'm no longer sure if there is a single main character. If you enjoy fantasy this tale won't disappoint.

Wow, the ending was brief and felt rushed but it was a great tale definitely worth listening to. Performance is what you'd expect from Michael Cramer.

Authors that create these strung out tales don't take into account the readers of their stories only themselves. This is a fantastic story and as an audio book addict, the shear value is fantastic. Starting the 3rd book now, but then there will be static on this tale for how long? Don't let my pessimism deter you. if you liked Wheel of Time this tale is a must read. I just hate the wait between installments.

Great performance to an epic tale...

My only complaint is having to wait for the remainder puff the story tho come out. Truly an epic story, with enough twists and sub stories to force a person to have to focus so you don't lose where or with who in which time reference you are at. Anxiously awaiting the rest of the tale!

Enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to future Sam Callahan stories. Liked the blending of his life's story alongside the current storyline. Great way to introduce readers to Sam and his life.

I'm very surprised at this tale. I've never seen it make any of the lists folks create around best books. The passion, fear, love and even pain portrayed by the characters I felt. While the story spans years and much of it was in war I never felt the story lagged. The narrator was how I found this book as I'd enjoyed other performances of his. The performance of this audio book was excellent.
