The book was different and characters were interesting. I enjoyed the book it was a nice storyline and I love fantasy and medieval settings.

The story was just flat without good development. Lara’s charater began strong but she digressed with no thought to reality. She makes decisions as though she is an unlearned child. This is a woman 25 yrs old .... an old maid in those times. She can’t figure out what is happening and why. All the evidence and she is like... NO It couldn’t be ...REALLY?

Keir was a wonderful character with the patiences of Job but come on.... he NEVER ACTUALLY SPOKE with his Warprize to ask a simple “hey how do you feel”...here’s how I feel or even here is how it is in my culture.

Good but I like my heroines stronger and a little more growth in my charaters. A little more craftiness was have been appreciated. The book was a GOOD listen but not drawn into the series or main charaters

I think the concept is good but the best part of this story was the prologue

Tried speeding up the narration and that worked ok but in the end the story fizzled.

Why are so many authors throwing in alternative lifestyles randomly in their books?

The statment was made by the main character “love is love” REALLY you have people dying around you ... missing political leaders, the “unnaturals” killing, the extinction of Gargoyle females, mates to find and a Post apocalyptic city ....

That’s quite a bit in a story but your focuse is on a homosexual male coming out of the closet

Whatever .... I am done with this book

Ian and Braden Thomas return to the United States to extract Katie Buchanan, the sister of the teammate who betrayed them. She could very well be the key to taking down the man responsible for turning Ian and Braden into unstable cat shifters. Unfortunately, they're not the only ones after Katie. Katie has no intention of going quietly or of offering her trust on a silver platter. She's got troubles of her own that don't include two pain-in-the-ass men who claim her dead brother sent them. She's too busy trying to stay one step ahead of Ricardo de la Cruz, the brother of a man she killed.

I truly enjoyed this book it was a beauty story with the perfect amount of conflict and resolution. It was tough to read but I found myself both rooting and cursing for the H/h. The Christian reference was heavy but not off putting .... I found the sermons inspiring ... this is a must read for those with budding and long term relationships.... it was also refreshing to have a clean romance, while there was intimacy it was not overly drawn out or misplaced. It fit well in the story vs having a sex scence just because one needs to fill the quota to keep interest. ..... thank goodness no crazy references to alternative lifestyles for the sake of being politically correct

In the storyline I believe were supposed to feel empathy for the hero and compassion for the heroine. However it didn’t come off that way at all. This felt more like rich and privileged bullies who want what they want when they want and when they don’t get it they’re spoiled enough to hurt people both mentally and physically. Not one Theodora’s best stories. Do waste your money like I did.

I am not sure I will read or listen to any other books by this author... I am not seeing all of her stories are so similar with no real charater development or change. I am sure it is hard to have a change in story with same theme but this is typical and slightly boring.

The other then bothering me is this authors subtle attempt to show us her political and social views. I am not a prude but why all the homosexual references? Wright has two same sex male couples in her world and now has references to pansexual on the male side for the main charater. I don’t understand why it seems random and inserted in stories for the sake of telling us her views. The strange thing is this author only has homosexual males reference but doesn’t write about any other diversity. No Latin, Asain, or Black charaters. No charaters with disabilities, older or with mental hang ups. No culturally mixed couples, no black women or men... no Asian women with Latin males ... nor older men or women finding mates later at 40 as main charaters .... just NO diversity.

Not sure why the homosexual male reference seems to be her sole focus . It is as though she is creating a awareness of love is love but it seems only if it is two white males or white 20 something females/males. Just my obersvation with this entire series.

Little change up is needed from both a storyline and charater perspective.

The story felt elementary in nature. I didn’t really have a vested interest in the characters. Amy was whiney and too immature for an apocalypse. I didn’t care too much for the story . I was interesting how these women hates the dragon then uses them for their own gain . Amy’s dragon decides he doesn’t was want to do something . Her response to him “ you don’t get to make the choice” this woman can barely walk, can’t feed herself and want to use him to bully people. She just wasn’t like able to me
