Kate has come a long way from her origins as a loner taking care of paranormal problems in post-Shift Atlanta. She's made friends and enemies. She's found love and started a family with Curran Lennart, the former Beast Lord. But her magic is too strong for the power players of the world to let her be. I am super sad to see this series end but MAN DID IT GO OUT WITH A BANG...

This left no unanswered questions and kept the relationship between Kate and Curran strong until the end. Not sure how I feel about the end of this series but seems the door is open for those who survived the final battle. Perhaps we will get their stories. Love the book think I will start from the beginning.

Reminds me of those Love Swept romance novels I use to read.

I am not sure I will read or listen to any other books by this author... I am not seeing all of her stories are so similar with no real charater development or change. I am sure it is hard to have a change in story with same theme but this is typical and slightly boring.

The other then bothering me is this authors subtle attempt to show us her political and social views. I am not a prude but why all the homosexual references? Wright has two same sex male couples in her world and now has references to pansexual on the male side for the main charater. I don’t understand why it seems random and inserted in stories for the sake of telling us her views. The strange thing is this author only has homosexual males reference but doesn’t write about any other diversity. No Latin, Asain, or Black charaters. No charaters with disabilities, older or with mental hang ups. No culturally mixed couples, no black women or men... no Asian women with Latin males ... nor older men or women finding mates later at 40 as main charaters .... just NO diversity.

Not sure why the homosexual male reference seems to be her sole focus . It is as though she is creating a awareness of love is love but it seems only if it is two white males or white 20 something females/males. Just my obersvation with this entire series.

Little change up is needed from both a storyline and charater perspective.

The story felt elementary in nature. I didn’t really have a vested interest in the characters. Amy was whiney and too immature for an apocalypse. I didn’t care too much for the story . I was interesting how these women hates the dragon then uses them for their own gain . Amy’s dragon decides he doesn’t was want to do something . Her response to him “ you don’t get to make the choice” this woman can barely walk, can’t feed herself and want to use him to bully people. She just wasn’t like able to me

Because much too slow and seems to be chaotic the organization of the story makes no sense and it’s harsh and brutal for no reason. I feel like the setting is midevil times so some brutality is expected. However I think it would need to match story. This seems to be about nothing but revenge and raping women.
I also do not like the way the narrator’s voice is for women. All the women sound like a whiny brats

Emma Krist is a dud - a person from a powerful line of witches with no magic of her own. Not only that, but she's full figured instead of thin, like her gorgeous, talented cousins, and has dishwater brown hair and muddy hazel eyes to match. So she figures there's no way she'll be chosen as the Bloodlust Sacrifice for the new vampire Sovereign. Not that she would want to be - what girl in her right mind would volunteer to be a sex slave for a year, giving up the rights to her own body and sexuality to a dominating male who likes to bite? Not Emma, that's for sure.

It's not every day that a beautiful, naked woman falls out of the sky and lands face-first on grizzly shifter Berg Dunn's hotel balcony. Definitely, they don't usually hop up and demand his best gun. Berg gives the lady a grizzly-sized t-shirt and his cell phone, too, just on style points. And then she's gone, taking his XXXL heart with her. By the time he figures out she's a honey-badger shifter, it's too late. Honey badgers are survivors. Brutal, vicious, ill-tempered survivors.
