This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Hard to believe that anyone who likes mysteries or thrillers would like this book. There is not action in the book until the next to last chapter and then in a single gun shot after the killers have revealed in a long dialogue what they have done.

Would you ever listen to anything by David Baldacci again?

Not without reading reviews of the book. My mistake was pre-ordering this one so no reviews. I must have some of his stuff in my library, but this in not up to a very low bar.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The readers were good and since the book is 99% dialogue between people with no descriptive prose aside from a description of the characters. the readers did a good job with a very bad product.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Memory Man?

This is beyond editorial help. The first action that takes place in the book happens in Chapter 64 the next to last chapter. And it is hard to believe.

Any additional comments?

Based on the last chapter, it appears that the author is planning another book using the same protagonist. Hopefully, he will have a better plot, more action, and not as many contradictions.

Everything !! The writing in this book is just awful. It is hard to believe that a professional edited this book.

What would have made Spycatcher better?

If some action took place besides the main character talking with other charcters. This a book about a MI 6 top operator who does nothing but fly back and forth to meet and talk with people for the first five hours of the book.

What was most disappointing about Matthew Dunn’s story?

If the chin music and recalling the past was replaced with action written in the present tense. If the dialogue actually resembled conversation between people and was not stilted and boring.

Which scene was your favorite?

The first scene where some action took place in the present.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Spycatcher?

All the boring discussion between Will and everyone he meets that the author attempt to use as exposition.

Any additional comments?

The narrator did a good job with bad material.

Best on the Ground Story of the Vietnam War

By far the best on the ground story of the war, perhaps of any war. Well written, exacting detail. Had to be written by someone who was there.

Rambling Drival

This book sucks. It nothing but rambling drival. Diarrhea of pen/keyboard. I can not get through the first two hours without turning on the radio. Probably the worst book of the two hundred I have listened to this year.
