Heartbreakingly beautiful!
I loved how this book women and men fight side by side. It showed both the strengths and weaknesses they can hold and overcome.

I didn’t want it to end! Wanted more!

I thought the second book can’t be as great as the first book which is one of my top FAVORITE books ever! But I was squealing, jumping with excitement, laughing, crying, and filled with love and crossed eyed in the dreamy land all through the book!

I love scot based characters, I read all kinds of book that has a highlander in it. To be introduced to a Scottish hulk of a man that’s the modern version of the old warrior highlanders I read about was fresh! I fell head over heels with Cameron’s character. He was so so good inside, loving, accepting, real that it made me cry thinking If only we had men like that In reality who see you for who you are not for what the cliche beauty is thought of! And his ability to state it in a real way how he has to work for his physique and what’s inside is what matters was SOOOO ROMANTIC, REAL, and RELATABLE!!💜😭❤️
When Cam said, “You have to treat your body as a temple” I was like PREACH BOY PREACH😭💜😘

Okay and of course I loved the heroine! Finally we get a reasonable person who while still shy reflected real life struggles while not being annoying or like exaggerated like in many books that make me wanna rip my hair out! I can relate to being quite and shy but there is a limit to how much a woman can take called dignity! Loved Jo’s funny side it cracked me up, her shy yet innocent side which in my opinion was not one bit exaggerated, and her strength hidden beneath but was ready to come out!🙏🎉❤️😭💜

I had to get used to th narrator for like two minutes and loved how she subtly but strongly painted is a picture of the characters💜❤️💜

Now onto the Next book in the series!!!!!

Jackson "The Beast" Boudreaux is rich, gorgeous, and unbelievably rude to the staff at Chef Bianca Hardwick's New Orleans restaurant. Bianca would sooner douse herself in hot sauce than cook for Jackson again, but when he asks her to cater his fundraiser, Bianca can't refuse, knowing the cash will help pay her mother's medical bills. Then Jackson makes another outrageous request: Marry me. The unconventional offer includes an enormous sum - money Bianca desperately needs, even if it does come with a contract - and a stunning ring.

Authentic, fresh, real, steamy, romantic, beautiful, and funny! I loved this book listened to it so many times! I love finally there is a black heroine and not a blue eyed blond haired girl that’s repetitive.

I laughed so hard through the book the sass and the verbal battles they had.

The narrators were perfect! Just perfect!

The author is beyond words for me! The story and the way she brings us right in the middle as if we are right there living it up with the characters! It made me relate!

Definitely RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Two hotheaded Highlanders, the offspring of feuding lairds, are tricked by the King's Regent into a desperate choice: marry or die. Bhaic MacPherson is more disposed to lead his clan into battle than stay married to the daughter of his enemy. But perhaps the intensity of his feelings has more to do with desire than hostility. Ailis Robertson wanted a husband, not a savage - but when her family was faced with a deadly ultimatum, she had no choice.

I have to say I was disappointed with the main lead heroine. The title says and characters call spit fire and I have read many many highlander stories she is the LEAST spitfire.
She gets mad and angry easily but doesn’t act to defend herself when other watch her naked and are not ashamed to do so or when she gets slapped! Worse than that the main hero does nothing! Wth 😡
I actually enjoyed Helen’s temper and ability to stand for no shi* I am glad I listened to it because now I know there is a book about Helen and Marcus. She also kept saying I’ll deal with it my own way but never really does on action, all talk no real change

As a female I felt like I wouldn’t have stood by while others shamed me and treated me less than human!

Good points of this book was how they both sacrificed themselves to save their families. Also how the heroine tried to take the high road that kinda lead her to being a push over.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to hear and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed.

The complexity and psychological plot of the story is beyond words. Joy, sorrow, anger, rage and love and loyalty....trust was all present with the characters to tell a heart Breaking story 💜

I have commented on the second series which most of it was true for this final book as well.
But what was different was towards the end the character development was sky rocketing! Sloane matured quit a bit and the ending was amazing!
There were some unrealistic situations even in a magical series and my love for Issac almost crushed but it didn’t at the end lols 💜
There were less labeling and appropriate amount when needed which I appreciated this time.
Overall: worth the read to the end
