This story was ridiculous! I have enjoyed the S.E. Smith stories across multiple series, but this won was near shameful in the laziness of the romance development. We have all seen then i don't like you but I am attracted to you stories before but this one didn't even try. The Heroin was kidnapped, literally to save his world, and after only one nut shot she is doing what ever he wants and allowing him whatever access to her body that he wants. She may not verbally admit to her attraction, but if you are kidnapped, it should take more than one forced kiss before doing anything the your kidnapper wants. Yes she is a good person and wants to help his world, but that doesn't mean doing anything else because he said so. No trust has been earned why would you accept that your kidnapper a known womanizer, who keeps "claiming" you as his, is trust worthy. Being attracted to someone doesn't make them a good person, and again KIDNAPPING and claiming does say good guy either.

Rylee Hale attracts two clients that are way more than she can handle. Nobody asked Rylee what she thought about being abducted from her life on Earth and caught in the middle of a conflict between two huge, muscular alien males. It's okay though - she's a smart girl - she can handle herself. But once she gets a taste of being bonded to two sexy men who want to please her in every way, will she be able to stand by and watch them be...severed?

I found this series because I has looking for more Brides of Kindred books, and I am so glad that I did. The characters are flawed with out being foolish (expect in the creation of the climax). The issue with the book is that it compounds the issue of two narrators. Two narrators is great when narrated like a screen play, each charter being voiced by one person, but when each character has two voices it makes the book harder to follow and enjoy.

This is romance if you are a teenager. Girl meets boy after almost getting raped but wants boy immediately. There was so much wrong with the world building I don't know what to do with myself. First secret naked werewolf society living within hours of a town with a lost history of hunting them. For a secret society that doesn't interact with humans in anyway they sure do know a lot of stuff about everything, you would think they sneak into town a dwell among humans in a human form, but nope they stay in their caves and hide. Oh and for a society of cave dwellers they sure are civilized, even having a catch a release policy with they humans trying to kill them and expose them. I am trying to at least finish the first book in the set but this is so ridiculous I may not be able to finish even the first book. The characters are all so one dimensional that and down right silly that I have to ask is this a YA book with sexual content.

I love... I hate you... I love you but I don't trust you. I love you but I will kill you to be more powerful. There is no real growth in the characters. They are all idiots( let me trust you with the lives of my family knowing you will kill them) or masochists (make love with me before we murder each other). This is awful. I gave book two a try because the world created was unique but this is the second book of people that hate themselves and accept abuse as part of a romantic relationship.

The Story had a great many good points and with a better writer this could have been a fantastic book, but the writing was so bad, just so bad. It was like a teenager with ADD recently exposed to porn, stole the idea of great si-fi/fantany writer, decided to write a book and focus only on the intimate interactions between the two main characters, without developing them as characters in any natural way. Multiple characters in this book have monologues that are supposed to instantly make things sensible and okay for the reader to get invested. This literally could have been two full length books if character development had been more than an after thought to the writer. Instead it seemed like this was some teen drama with adults playing the roles so that the nudity is acceptable.

This was a good book, but it reminded me that i don't like the witch books. Witch books for me are too chaotic, there are rules but you don't know them so it's hard to appreciate when characters do something impossible. Then the explanation after the fact that the character did do something exceptional is too late to impact the moment the impossible was done. That happened in this book several times, and exceptionally powerful witch vs simply powerful witch, or a powerful vs skillful, but in either case I could not appreciate the tension in moments of conflict because I didn't know the rules of this world. If this book had a follow on i could definitely enjoy it more because I now have a baseline for the rules of this world. The Love Story was good, I don't think this was any more hot than other J.F. books, but it did have more references to the abuse of women.
