Everybody thinks they know Cole's story. Stardom. Addiction. Downfall. Disappearance. But only a few people know Cole's darkest secret - his ability to shift into a wolf. One of these people is Isabel. At one point, they may have even loved each other. But that feels like a lifetime ago. Now Cole is back. Back in the spotlight. Back in the danger zone. Back in Isabel's life. Can this sinner be saved?

This was a fantastically written book that delved into the relationship between Isabelle and Cole that I so desperately craved from the Shiver series but was so full of content that it could have been a perfect standalone without the listener having any knowledge of the three prior books. I wouldn't sleep, trying to finish chapters and fantasizing about the next twist in the book. Maggie is an amazing writer, and you will be thrilled to the core over the voice actors portraying Cole and Isabelle in Sinner. Absolutely fantastic.

In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other. In Linger, they fought to be together. Now, in Forever, the stakes are even higher than before. Wolves are being hunted. Lives are being threatened. And love is harder and harder to hold on to as death comes closing in.

if you've made it to Forever, you are already emotionally invested in Sam and Grace.

Forever will make you emotinally invested in Isabelle, and, even if it's unwilling, into Cole.

You will smile with Rachel You will be complicated with Grace. You will be furious with Cole. You will, without a doubt, feel every. Single. One. Of Sam's emotions.

Finishing this series made me want to cry. Not in a way you would imagine. But because the end of hearing Sam and Grace's written story is painful. Hearing it, I believe, is the painful part. The narrators of this story make them so real it can't be any other way.

It's amazing. And it's going to hurt. And I'm going to listen to this series again and again and I will never lose the fascination.

Pino Lella wants nothing to do with the war or the Nazis. He's a normal Italian teenager - obsessed with music, food, and girls - but his days of innocence are numbered. When his family home in Milan is destroyed by Allied bombs, Pino joins an underground railroad helping Jews escape over the Alps, and falls for Anna, a beautiful widow six years his senior. In an attempt to protect him, Pino's parents force him to enlist as a German soldier - a move they think will keep him out of combat.

I hesitated about a year ago to listen to this book because I wasn't interested in the prelude. Pushing past the first 10 minutes of the audiobook was the best decision. This book is captivating. I couldn't stop listening, I had to know what was next. The narrator takes an already beautiful, tragic story to a whole new level where you can easily find characters for every dialogue and he pauses to let every mental picture of scenery unfold in your head before continuing. He eases through French, German and Italian words and places, where most narrators struggle and creates an amazing world where you find yourself as a close hand at Pino's side. Absolutely stunning.
