Nicholas Flamel is the greatest Alchemyst to ever live. The records show that he died in 1418, but what if he's actually been making the elixir of life for centuries? The secrets to eternal life are hidden within the book he protects - the Book of Abraham the Mage. It's the most powerful book that has ever existed, and in the wrong hands, it will destroy the world. And that's exactly what Dr. John Dee plans to do when he steals it. There is one hope. If the prophecy is true, Sophie and Josh Newman have the power to save everyone. Now they just have to learn to use it.

Harry Potter has been heralded as one of the most popular book series of all time and the philosophical nature of Harry, Hermione, and Ron's quest to rid the world of its ultimate evil is one of the many things that make this series special. The Ultimate Harry Potter and Philosophy covers all seven titles in J.K. Rowling's groundbreaking series and takes fans back to Godric's Hollow to discuss life after death, to consider what moral reasoning drove Harry to choose death, and to debate whether Sirius Black is a man or a dog.

I didn't like it. I have minimal experience in philosophy, but felt the authors made it logical conclusions in some cases oh, we're quite contradictory in other cases, and beat explanations of trivial concepts to death.

this book might be more appropriate for a Harry Potter fan in high school as it raises reasonable questions.

I found the performance mediocre-at-best. There were several times we are her voice sounded mechanical as though I was listening to turn by turn directions

I force myself to read to chapter 12 but couldn't take it anymore. this is only the second of approximately 70 books on Audible that I refuse to finish.

it is kind of hard to put my finger on exactly why I don't like it. I guess it was kind of repetitive, the ending wasn't that great and I feel like the same story could have been told in 2 books just as well. I kind of struggled to finish it.

on the repetitiveness, the two things that stand out is the constant reminder of what an individual's Aura smells like and constant statement of a character speaking a language "that had not been spoke on earth in 500 years" and similar.
