A slow, sexy drawl was all Amanda Calhoun heard when she walked into the wall of denim and muscle that was Sloan O'Riley, the architect hired to renovate her family's magnificent ancestral estate, the Towers. No-nonsense Amanda found Sloan's easygoing manner infuriating. But his irresistible smile was growing harder and harder to resist.

Catherine "C.C." Calhoun is determined to keep her family's estate, known affectionately as the Towers, in the family. She admits the cost of keeping up the crumbling mansion might be quickly exceeding what C.C., her sisters and her aunt can afford, but the only way to save the house can't be to sell it. Especially not to arrogant and handsome hotel magnate Trenton St. James III.

A true romance of old. No sex, just the wonder of falling in love. I thought Kate Rudd did a marvelous job with so many different voices, even if she struggled slightly with Trent’s Boston dialect. It takes a very special talent to portray so many different characters. Thank you Nora Roberts for bringing some of your older novels to Audible. You are my favorite author, with an amazing diversity of storytelling that captures the reader.

This wasn’t really a who done it story as you know earlier on who did it. It is a story of life, loss, and then life again and how all the people involved are affected by the events mainly Laura Mack and her struggle to live again. The ending was not expected as I thought it was going in a different direction but it was a good ending.

Lucy was an amazing selfless person inside and out. What a sacrifice she made for her family and especially her husband. The story was very emotional that at one point I wish I hadn’t started reading it; the ending chapters made up for that. I did feel like the epilogue ending was a little short, especially after the story was a little slow and very detailed throughout the book.

Read this book series years ago And it was one of my favorite series by Nora Roberts. Her amazing talent combining romance, humor, family ties and the history, in later prequel. I usually read more mystery murders and psychotic thrillers now-a-days and less romance so this was refreshing surprise. Angela Dawe did an excellent narration of the story down the burr of Daniel MacGregor. I plan and going down memory lane with the rest of the series on audible this time. Thank you.

I love Robyn Carr, especially her 5 Star Virgin River series and as usual Therese Plummer was fantastic. I enjoyed this story even though the first half of the story was a little slow and too much story time spent on the relationship with Sam and Clare that wasn’t going anywhere. The back half and ending was much better. Overall a good story of family and the changes in their lives but maybe too many story lines in one book. A book for each sister would have been better. The back half flowed good and had some hilarious moments and loved the family Sunday dinners. Thanks
How about a reunion/Anniversary book for Virgin River to see where everyone is now?
