I just started this series. I am actually on second book now but came back to add review.
Redemption Mountain is an entertaining western series about a group of people fleeing memories of the Civil War by moving to Mountana. They are overcoming different obstacles, finding love, and solving mysteries that threaten their new town. Little cursing. No graphic sex. Just good people with a good story.

Also the ending is abrupt and disappointing.

From the first moment I see Mason Boone, I can't take my eyes off him. Everyone's got a different story about the gorgeous, silent man in chains. He's a hero, a former Navy SEAL. He's a fugitive, on his way to a court martial. He's a loner, a mountain man who hasn't spoken to another soul in years. But when our plane crashes deep in the Alaskan wilderness, he becomes my only hope. I'm an FBI agent and he's a prisoner, but to survive the wild animals, fierce weather, and unforgiving terrain, I must put my faith in him.

Lately, managing the wild stallions on his property is wearing him down. When an interfering so-called expert arrives and starts offering her opinion, Drake is wary, but he can't deny the longing - and the challenge - she stirs in him. Great 2nd Book in Series. Follows up on all characters and Jack Garrett is a Wonderful Narrator. Anyone who doesn't like him, just doesn't enjoy well-paced, emotion packed reading.

I especially liked the part where the primary characters first meet. It takes him literally 15 minutes to get her to tell him her name. Hilarious!
