Ryker only has one goal in his life right now: Turn a certain adventuring guild into a flaming wreck while dancing merrily through the smoldering ruins. All for the chance to get back at a handful of people. It isn’t as if they didn’t deserve it either. They had driven him from his home. Chased him physically from the very guild house itself.  Simply because he wasn’t as strong as they expected him to be. As strong as he’d expected himself to be. He’d returned the next day and left with something he’d hidden away and told no one about when he found it in one of his few Dungeon Dives.

I really liked the story, the narrator has workable distinctive voices. What I find annoying is that most characters have being very simple such as most males come in three flavors evil stupid, good stupid and stupidly irritating. Hoping to see the next one.

I liked the performance... great job. The stories has action, however this book sets up and introduces current and what I assume are future characters... it appears slow, however it does so with purpose... protagonist are brought together and kept together by circumstance. As to some story holes or "mistakes" are mostly petty and inconsequential... the plot line makes sense... this is the aftermath of not the shakers and movers, but off the actual grunts... you know the people that set up, support, and back up the "heroes." My favorite character is the mother(<==because I suck with names) she is smart, strong, dedicated, wishing to set her sword and shield by the riverside and practice war no more, whoever willing to pick it up to defend others... she reminds me of the paladin archetype... note that while I am a fan of Star Wars, I am not a fanatic and therefore willing to let more slide...

I have listen to every book... and have set aside this book for a long while... the end is everything I hope for... it was a long journey, but it is at an end... the foresight of L.A. Meyer to write this before his passing is... ingenious. This book is a rollocoster of emotions and action. It ties in everything quite nicely in a manner very few authors have managed. One you finish this you'll be left there contemplating the life and adventures of Jacky Faber and the author that breathed life into this work of art...

This time Tincker is going a bit nuts... and not in a good way, with dreams warning her about different threats and nightmares from previous book... well there no rest for the mad genius. One thing I liked in peculiar that I liked in specific on this book is how Tincker matures and becomes more aware of surrounding and her actions... some heads were lost, but you know eggs and omelets...
