Magic pieces of armor rain from Lenova's skies, granting men God-like powers. Mountains move, lightning bends to command, and a man's future can be written in a book before it's even happened. In this emerging chaos, teenage Finn SunRider cares only for escaping the burning desert of the Crust and exploring the world he lives in. Yet that will prove quite difficult with monsters and tyrants roaming the land, conquering cities and killing the innocent.

I kept waiting for Fin to figure it out but it was kind of refreshing that everyone in the book just didn’t automatically know everything once imbued with power.

I usually don't like books without magic but this book eludes to magic and the main character walks right through mage wards like they are nothing. So I look forward to see how many more skills he develops through the books. Very good listen

I love character development, I love world building but the level of detail and dialogue in theses books is exhaustive. Not enough action and way too much of what people thought and the minute details of what they are eating and the origin of that food blah blah blah. Very good performance but I felt like I wanted more.

I like the characters but they get in and out of impossible situations rather quickly. this book could easily be another 5 hours with more development. the battle between eathan and his ancester is a botersome storyline. Eathan really doesn't have much ability and his character hopefully grows stronger in the next installment. I will still follow the story but am looking for more in the next book.
