I enjoyed this story. It isn't very long but a good, solid story and it moves quickly. Sabrina is a likeable character. The story is engaging. You could easily listen to it in one sitting. I haven't read the previous books in this series, but was able to follow along easily. Good beach listen. And will leave you wanting chocolate pudding.

I thought this was a good thriller. The story held my interest. There were definitely some suspenseful moments. The story had depth...who wants Jessica to look into this 25 year old cold case, how or if the current murder in Eagle Rock is connected. Kept me guessing. Good description of the detective work for both cases. A romantic interest for Jessica? A couple of the characters did have aliases and that got a little confusing for me. I thought the narrator did a good job, differentiating between female and male voices. I would read or listen to a second Jessica Shaw book.

This story is an excellent mystery. Very gripping. You won't be able to stop listening. The story will definitely hold your interest. Shelby's ability is purposely tested by someone who is threatening her friends, family and coworkers with a game of cat and mouse. She is trying to stay two steps ahead of the person responsible but can she do it? There is lots of action. There is also some very interesting side stories. A woman needs help proving she is the mother of her child. DNA tests are not showing it. Dimples and Billie are getting married but will they have to call off the wedding? What is Chris's junior partner up to? It sounds like he is out to ruin Chris's law practice. The relationships of the main characters continue to develop. Hmmmm. Shelby has a desk and a computer finally at the police station. Just another day at the office.
Lots of laughable moments but lots of tension and suspense. The narrator is very good and able to change up voices well and build suspense.

This novella is a great story, engrossing with plenty of action. If you are thinking about reading the Shelby Nichols series, listen to this quick, faced paced story. A stay at home mom that gets psychic abilities from an accident, now consults for the police and oh, a mob boss and a hit man? That is a sticky situation in itself. What did Shelby get into now? Will she make it out ok? Really good story and a good series. Exciting ending. Give it a listen.

When a peculiar letter arrives inviting Armand Gamache to an abandoned farmhouse, the former head of the Sûreté du Québec discovers that a complete stranger has named him one of the executors of her will. Still on suspension, and frankly curious, Gamache accepts and soon learns that the other two executors are Myrna Landers, the bookseller from Three Pines, and a young builder. None of them had ever met the elderly woman. The will is so odd and includes bequests that are so wildly unlikely that Gamache and the others suspect the woman must have been delusional. But what if, Gamache begins to ask himself, she was perfectly sane?

If you have been following the Gamache series, you will love this book also. It's a complex story with one new mystery and also carries the story of the drugs lost at the border in the last book. Some of our questions are answered, more are raised, which leaves an opening for another book. I exclaimed "Oh!" and "Ahhh", several times.
The narrator was excellent. Great voice, great pronunciation of French words and names, and able to change up enough for all the speaking characters.
