It should have been easy. I needed the money. He needed a babysitter to keep him from snorting himself to death. I was cherry-picked especially for him. Responsible. Optimistic. Warm. Innocent. The worst part is that I should have known better. Alex Winslow. British rock star. Serial heartbreaker. Casanova with whiskey eyes. “Don’t get near the devil in a leather jacket. He’ll chew you up and spit you out.” Guess what? I didn’t listen. I signed the contract. World tour. Three months. Four Continents. 100 shows. My name is Indigo Bellamy, and I sold my soul to a tattooed god.

This book broke me and it's been so long since that has happened. At first I hated Alex because he was such a jerk, but then you realize he hates himself and doesn't care what you think. I loved Indy's relationship with him and even though some twists in the story were predictable, there are a few that aren't. I loved how raw it got. The narrators and the story were perfect. I will listen to this one again. I was surprised how much I loved it.

They say Paris is always a good idea.... You know what I say? Paris would be a much better idea if I spoke the dang language. I can't even board the metro to visit the Louvre without ending up at the Moulin Rouge, and let's not even mention how I'll ever make it through a day at my new office. Fortunately my company hooks me up with my own personal translator. Ooh la la. Or should I say bloody hell? Because he's charming, witty, and British, and he brings the city to life for me.

I was a woman on the edge, shaken and shattered after a breakup that felt like it tore my entire world apart. My best friend, sick of watching me drown in misery and melancholy, harassed me until I agreed to go with her on a weeklong wilderness retreat. Nowhere in the glossy brochure did it say anything about the fact I was going to have to battle the insufferable but deliciously rugged trail guide instead of the elements. The brochure also forgot to mention that when you left civilization behind, there was no place to pack your inhibitions and fears.

Where does Tapping the Billionaire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In the middle.

Did CJ Bloom and Eric Michael Summerer do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

The last chapter was confusing because it was from perspective of Cassie but in the same voice. I didn't really understand the necessity of that.

Any additional comments?

This is a good book overall. The male character saves the story. The female narrator was not my favorite. The male narrator did a great job. The argument that they got in before the HEA was very far fetched and any grown up would have discussed instead of shut each other out, That part was so painfully dumb, I had to skip thru that chapter. I think I would have enjoyed it more with a different female narrator, occasionally Ms. Bloom gets a screechy nail-on-chalkboard tone that does not go well with the characters or the story. I will listen to the next in the story line even if Ms., Bloom is back so I guess that says it all.

It's just a docuseries about your career as an OB/GYN, they said. It won't interrupt your life during or after filming, they said. It's a great opportunity for the hospital and your practice, they said. Well, they - the television executives who seem intent on ruining my career and personal life with a fair number of creative liberties - lied. Now I'm stuck dealing with the consequences of believing them. Instead of being known as Dr. Will Cummings, head of obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke's Hospital, I'm now being called Dr. Obscene.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

If it was on sale it may be worth it but I really did not enjoy this at all. I thought is was "just ok"

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The male character initially talks about how he is so misrepresented, but that is not really true. I thought the female lead got mad over something that could have easily been talked out. Both narrators did fine with their own voice but they were both EARSPLITTINGLY AWFUL when they voiced the opposite sex.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No

Any additional comments?

There are way better options out there than this. All the other reviews talked of the humor... I thought it was pretty childish.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This was the hottest book I have listened to in a long time!! I wasnt sure I was going to like this book because of the taboo and the Catholic priest issues in the past. I loved the way it was done. I loved the way they fell in love and I loved Tyler and Poppy together. I also like how they addressed the choice he made in the end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Priest: A Love Story?

The very first time they made love on the counter...

What about Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolfe ’s performance did you like?

Everything. Jacob Morgan is my favorite. I have everything that he has performed in my library and Elena Wolfe is top notch also, they did a great job together

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!!

Any additional comments?

There is an editing issue in Chapter 12 (chapter 14 when on audible) at the very end where Mr. Morgan reads a scene, laughs, and begins repeating a scene already played. but it happens only for about the last 3 minutes... its annoying that this was not caught in editing

Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt. I am pretty sure Mr. Webber could read my gory medical procedure text and make it sexy....

Any additional comments?

This was a good book, not my favorite one , but I could not get past the use of the word "spirit". This author uses the same word over and over, especially when she is trying to be dynamic and inspirational. Well, it loses its punch when it is used 1000 times in the text. "It blew through my spirit", "I felt it in my spirit". I would be interested to know a word count on exactly how may times this word was used. She uses it in every book to describe something moving, but literally it became a joke each time I heard it in this one. I wanted to make it a drinking game. Ms. Jackson needs to realize that words in repetition lose their impact. I got that she was trying to describe a soul shaking moment, but it got lost after the 500th time it was used and became an annoyance. I literally rolled my eyes after a while.

I'm NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance "Romance". I'm notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I'm a player on and off the ice. I'm the one women with no inhibitions want. Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don't know how to be any other way. I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does.

They are both exceptional narrators. They bring angst and emotion that is really hard to portray I would suspect. Both do believable accents which is so important. I love listening to these 2 narrators together!!
