When she was 16 years old, Angela Wong - one of the most popular girls in school - disappeared without a trace. Nobody ever suspected that her best friend, Georgina Shaw, now an executive and rising star at her Seattle pharmaceutical company, was involved in any way. Certainly not Kaiser Brody, who was close with both girls back in high school. But 14 years later, Angela Wong's remains are discovered in the woods near Geo's childhood home.

In a residential Washington, D.C., neighborhood, a young woman's body is found in the basement of an abandoned house - starved to death in a cage, along with the video footage of a dark and deadly ritual. The victim is identified as the daughter of a prominent D.C. politician, and it falls to the FBI to track down the unconscionable psychopath who murdered her. FBI special agent Sayer Altair would rather conduct research on criminality than catch actual criminals. But when she's offered a promotion hinging on her next assignment, she reluctantly accepts the "Cage Killer" case.

Setting aside the pervasive material bias of science and lifting the obscuring fog of religious sectarianism reveals a surprisingly clear unity of science and religion. The explanations of transcendent phenomena given by saints, sages, and near-death experiencers are fully congruent with scientific discoveries in the fields of relativity, quantum physics, medicine, M-theory, neuroscience, and quantum biology. The Physics of God describes the intersections of science and religion.

This book was well done by the narrator. I found the book to be too formulaic for my taste. I easily figured out the plot line early on so kind of lost interest enough to not really have to pay attention. The whole book is told from Paul's perspective so it's very one sided. There's never any illusion as to what he is so no subterfuge here. Glad I didn't pay full price for this one.

For the family living at Skinwalker Ranch, life was under siege, and no one had been able to explain the horrors that surrounded them...But maybe science could. Leading a first-class team of research scientists, Colm Kelleher spent hundreds of days and nights on the Skinwalker property.

In a strange world where Rose McGowan was continually on display, stardom soon became a personal nightmare of constant exposure and sexualization. Rose escaped into the world of her mind, something she had done as a child, and into high-profile relationships. Every detail of her personal life became public, and the realities of an inherently sexist industry emerged with every script, role, public appearance, and magazine cover. The Hollywood machine packaged her as a sexualized bombshell, hijacking her image and identity and marketing them.

This book is long overdue. Every woman who reads this will see herself and the things she's been forced to endure just for being born female. I will warn you that this book is full of possible triggers for survivors of sexual assault. It's time we all stop and really look at the world and make some hard decisions about What we want for ourselves and our daughters. Rose is right, we need to stand and be brave.

It began on New Year's Eve. The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed - and more than half of the world's population was decimated. Where there had been order, there was now chaos. And as the power of science and technology receded, magic rose up in its place. Some of it is good, like the witchcraft worked by Lana Bingham, practicing in the loft apartment she shares with her lover, Max.

I'm pretty dissapointed I have to say. this book is nothing new to the apocolyptic genre. Perhaps Miss Roberts did not think those of us with a penchant for this type of book would notice that it is very close in story line to some mediorce others. I felt really cheated. if I would have known, I would have just re read one of the others in my library that was just so so. If you want a great apocalyptic drama read Justin Cronin or Robert McCammon.

This book makes you feel. it's a deeply moving story with much love and much tragedy and much intrigue. I hope audible will publish his second novel The mountain shadow as well.
