Samantha Cook is (IMHO) a much better Narrator than David B., the narrator of the first s.e. Smith series I listened to. Ms. Cook has a wonderful range for both male & female characters.

I was surprised to find that I enjoyed this trio of heroines even more than Jessie and her sisters. On the other hand, the male "good guys" in this book as well as the claiming phrase disappointed!

Jane carries inside her the soul of her Beast, the mountain lion's soul which merged with hers when she accidently performed black magic as a child. Now, she and her Beast stalk the dark streets of New Orleans, bringing rogue vampires true death.

Love Narrator's voices of early characters, however as cast grew she was not able to create original voice for each new character.

Rick is getting a bum deal; just more abuse .
Maybe Joan will listen to Beast about mates...or Anita Blake and have two mates.

Who is Jane's betrayer that the Blue Dragon warned her about "someone you trust."

I NEVER WANT JANE'S STORY TO END... but I do want her OUT OF New Orleans!!!
