Leading health blogger Jimmy Moore and researcher and internist Dr. Eric C. Westman join forces again to explain the powerful therapeutic effects of a ketogenic diet—one that combines a customized carbohydrate restriction, moderation of protein intake, and real food-based fats—which is emerging in the scientific literature as a means for improving a wide range of diseases, from Type 2 diabetes to Alzheimer's and more. Simply eating a low-carb diet alone isn't enough, and Moore and Westman tell you why. Have you looked at a low-carb diet simply as a means to lose weight? What if you learned that combining a low-carb nutritional approach with a high fat intake produces a powerful therapeutic effect on a wide variety of health conditions that most people think requires medication to control? That’s what Keto Clarity is all about. Jimmy Moore, a leading low-carb diet blogger and podcaster, has reunited with his Cholesterol Clarity co-author Dr. Eric C. Westman, a practicing internist and low-carb diet researcher, to bring you the crystal-clear information you need to understand what a ketogenic diet is and why it may be the missing element in your pursuit of optimal health. This book includes exclusive interviews from twenty of the world's foremost authorities from various fields bringing their depth of expertise and experience using this nutritional approach. Moore and Westman explain why ketosis is normal and how this nutritional approach is being used therapeutically by many medical professionals. You will find a step-by-step guide to help you produce more ketones and track your progress, real life success stories, and more. The solid evidence for nutritional ketosis in dealing with many of the chronic health problems of our day is presented, including but not limited to: epilepsy, Type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, polycystic ovarian syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome.

This book has a number of serious flaws, and should be read with caution. If you're interested in the Ketogenic Diet, then I'd recommend reading the balanced and objective Ketogenic Diet: Treatments for Epilepsy and other Disorders, by Eric H. Kassoff. While Kassoff's book is focused on the use of the Ketogenic Diet as a medical treatment, Keto Clarity uses this as a crutch to feed the masses a load of pseudo science as watered-down "proof". Overall, I found Keto Clarity to be a bit rambly. It has contributions and quotes from many people used out of context, and the overall effect is confusing and sometimes contradictory. (Ironically you could say it lacks clarity). The book's tone is one of pushing an idea rather than allowing readers to form their own informed opinions. Its advice can be dangerous because of it's purposefully misleading, confusing, and reckless use of medical evidence. Yes, you may lose weight from a low carb, moderate protein, and high fat (from absurdly unhealthy sources) diet, but so can a steady diet of low food, moderate cocaine and high alcohol consumption. I bet with that method there's solid evidence of fast weight loss. When quoted out of context, can be just as misleading and seem relatively harmless with proper "supplementation". Maybe use supplements like copious amounts of caffeine and nicotine for any "mental fog", constipation, cramps, or a "morning cordial/hair of the dog cure" for hangovers. Yea, nobody's buying that book.

Before they Go the F**k to Sleep, they need to Shut the F**k Up. If you give a kid a cookie, will he shut the f**k up? That is the question at the heart of this hilarious, deeply honest, profanity-laced book for parents who will do whatever it takes for a moment’s peace.

I believe the story was loosely based on actual incident that my ex husband has done. I am the ex wife that handed him divorce papers as I bailed him out. Bobcat did an excellent job narrating this incident and its full glorious splendor. A great bedtime story for children that can serve as a warning for what may happen. So never snitch on your Pops kids.
