People start dropping dead around Charlie, giant ravens perch on his building, and it seems that everywhere he goes, a dark presence whispers to him from under the streets. Strange names start appearing on his nightstand notepad, and before he knows it, those people end up dead, too. Yup, it seems that Charlie Asher has been recruited for a new job, an unpleasant but utterly necessary one: Death.

Declan had never met the kid who was to be his joint best man. Sam Aiken was abroad, working as an interpreter and finishing his studies. But on meeting Sam Aiken, Declan is surprised to realize the kid isn't a kid at all, but a tall, blond, and athletic young man. Declan is sure he's straight, so he's alarmed by the ferocious attraction he feels for Sam. And as the attraction is reciprocated, the events at Dunloch Castle change everything Declan has ever believed about himself.

This is a story for a straight man meeting a charming gay man. I loved both Declan and Sam. I wanted to more background on both of them. The story revolved mostly on the wedding setting taking place over 6 days. Their love story and Declan's awakening to feelings.
I will. say that there was too much sex; I wanted more events/adventures/conversations, and to get to know more of the secondary characters. The sister and the father. I can see there this is a series...we will see

I had a suspicion of what Sam's job might be.

The narrator was amazing with the accents.

Humor and adventure. This is by far my favorite book by the author.
The MCs are lively and the banter was refreshing. We don't have an insta-love or ridiculous ogling of eyes. Expect for the secondary characters (on purpose I choose to take it)
I will say that Felix stole the show, he learned like many kids the art of angelic-eyes manipulations.

Love the narrator. One would think a female voice would have been better, but by god I wish he narrates more books because he was the best for this book.

This was a heart wrenching book. Depression is an illness no matter what "just-cheerup" people might say.
We have a difficult romance and acceptance. How do you love someone who often can't love life?

No need to say more about Joel Leslie, he is a genius.

So when Rafe transfers to an all-boys' boarding school in New England, he decides to keep his sexuality a secret - not so much going back in the closet as starting over with a clean slate.

I'm not a fan of YA. I have no patience for their issues and angst. However this one mainly because of the humor element sucked me in. The secondary characters were colorful and made the ride more enjoyable.
I loved the idea of the story, and how can blame the kid who just wants to be "just another guy?

narrator was great. Glad we didn't get one with an old voice, but one who is obviously a great voice actor.
