Capitalism in America audiobook cover art

THIS BOOK IS A MUST-READ

Loved this book! Although the subject is complicated, I did not struggle with it one bit. The book is thoroughly researched, well-written, and easy to understand. The narrator, Ray Porter was superb. I was intrigued with the subject when I saw a C-span review of the book. I was curious about the verbiage "creative destruction" and I wanted to know more. You know how they say that a book can change your outlook in life; this is such a book. If one wants a better understanding of our current political situation, this book is a must-read. I disagree with some aspects of the book. Some important subjects were barely touched upon, such as the negative aspects of capitalism. All in all, like I said before, the book is must-read.

The plot was intetesting and had me listening to the end. The characters were well developed. I didn't think the story was so gory, it fit the story-line.

I liked it, didn't love it. Although interesting, the plot had noticeable flaws. It was a bit predictable. It read like a TV mystery movie. The narrator was soothing. Was it worth the credit? Maybe.

interesting story. Not a typical Agatha Christie. Story line doesn't follow the usual mystery structure of a murder committed and several suspects. No detective unravelling the crime. More like you can't run away from your inner self, even when given the chance. I wasn't expecting the ending. A true psychological mystery with a twist.

I really enjoyed Agatha Christie stories performed by top notch radio actors. I wish the scripts were a little more extensive. Some of the stories were too short.

I liked Joshua Green's "Devil's Bargain" better. It was more exciting. "Fire and Fury" is "Devil's Bargain" part 2. I enjoyed the way the narrator made himself appear to be on the outside looking into various situations. Other than finding out that Bannon really doesn't like Trump and his family, there was nothing new in this book. Basically just repeating news stories and giving a little bit of insight as to how staffers felt at the time.

I liked the voices. It made me sad. It made me sad because basically nobody really cared about the results of how ponography was effectiving the next generation. Everyone just wanted to make money or express their individual demons. I thought about my grandsons .

This is a fascinating in-depth story for all who wonder how Trump won the election. It's a detailed account of how all the conditions were aligned in the right place for the Trump phenomenon to occur. Of course it tells only part of the story. I was left yearning to hear more about Russia's role in the election. Hopefully Mr. Green will write a sequel.

I watch Vera on television and really enjoy the program. In the book however, the characters are better developed. While I don't always understand their accents on TV, the narrator Janine Birkett's characters were clearly understood. I look forward to buying another Vera Stanhope mystery book.

Loved it! What a story! Better than any of the movies. The Bran Stoker story is an excellent narrative, and then it is recited by an excellent cast of my favorite narrators. Wow! I had to listen to the story during the daytime. Too scary to listen after the sun goes down.
