For years Kingsley Edge warned Eleanor that the day would come when she, the mistress of a well-respected Catholic priest, would have to run. She always imagined that if that day came, she'd be running with Søren. Instead she's running from him. Fearing that Søren and Kingsley will use their power and influence to bring her back, Eleanor takes refuge in the one place the men in her life cannot enter.

I absolutely love this book. The narration is spot on and the story is one of joy and sadness. The love that is shared between Kingsley, Nora, and Soren is abundantly evident, and I believe that this book explains it best.

Loved this book! I read it a while back, listening made it even better. Merc is a very complicated, complex character, the kind I really love. Right from the start you can feel that he is conflicted about his feelings for Sydney, which really throws a wrench in his well thought out plans.

I read this book years ago and loved it. I recently started listening to audible because my commute to work has increased quite a bit. This was the first book I thought of to listen to, and I picked a great one, even found myself making excuses to be in the car to listen more! This is a must listen to, fantastic story and fantastic narration.
