The murder carries all the hallmarks of one of her most famous incarcerated clients, 'The Playground Killer' (aka Alfred Dinklage). I loved this audible thriller. The sound effects, the music, the children chants far in the background, and the performers added to the scary, suspenseful mood. It feels like a radio drama of decades ago, but with superior sound.

Voices were great, and the plot and characters catches the listener (me) from the start. Surprise twists made it even more interesting.

I would love to listen more like this one.

In December 2017 the famous porn star August Ames committed suicide in a park in the Conejo Valley. It happened a day after she’d been the victim of a pile-on, via Twitter, by fellow porn professionals - punishment for her tweeting something deemed homophobic. A month later, August’s husband, Kevin, connected with Jon Ronson to tell the story of how Twitter bullying killed his wife. What neither Kevin nor Ronson realized was that Ronson would soon hear rumors and secrets hinting at a very different story - something mysterious and unexpected and terrible.

The story is about the mysterious death of porn star August. The author interviewed many people who knew her, including her husbandKevin.
There are many hypothesis of what happened, rumors blaming someone, or another.
The truth is, the only thing clear at the end, beside the parallel glamour they want to give to this kind of movies and ‘actors’, the life of this people is fill of sadness, depression, abuses.
Kevin, the husband, is no different than a pimp, not only for August but for many other girls, starting when he was a teen. If it was no foul play, it is totally understandable why August would want to commit suicide. A very sad story.

Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

A cafa personaje. Para qué ver tele si tengo Audible!

Is it possible to write a sidesplitting novel about the breakup of the perfect marriage? If the writer is Nora Ephron, the answer is a resounding yes. For in this inspired confection of adultery, revenge, group therapy, and pot roast, the creator of Sleepless in Seattle reminds us that comedy depends on anguish as surely as a proper gravy depends on flour and butter.

And all of this, in a very funny, well paced and entertaining way. I highly recommend the book.
