Really, there is 45 min of story and the rest is repeating remarks, what they are eating and Bible quotes. And the most boring reader of all times. It really is bad.And when he reads the Bible quotes he gets even more remote sounding.

Jeanie and Ben arrive in Paris just in time for a festive New Year’s Eve celebration with local friends. They eat and drink and carry on until suddenly, at midnight, all the lights go out. Everywhere they look, buildings and streets are dark, as though the legendary Parisian revelry has somehow short circuited the entire city. By the next morning, all hell has broken loose. Fireballs rain down from the sky, the temperatures are rising, and people run screaming through the streets.

Years fighting through a struggling economy, tight credit, and government regulations had already taken their toll. I love end of the world as we know it books ! And this one had a different "cause" a different "setting" and really showed some promise. But the sugar syrup ran deep, real deep Geez they were swimming in honey.! The perfect wife, the wonderful son.the teenage daughter who was just a little bit disagreeable but always came around Cause this family had more goodness then father knows best !
The father was oh so worried about leading his group, but did a stellar job of course cause the family was just so sweet.Really The dialog made me want to barf. You can read my other reviews and I don't give bad reviews like this,But NO one is that sweet and understanding.
Did I tell you the family was oh so barfing sweet ? Yes they were.Even the "bad guys" weren't to far off the honey train !
Even to the end,the wonderful daughter had a wonderful career cause we are just so sweet ! And it all ends with the wonderful, sweet family being , what else but Sweet. !!

This is a romance novel ! A soft porn romance novel. I don't mind sex scenes but really it gets old fast when at least 25% of the story is about getting laid. The story line is different and could have been so good if it weren't for the constant long drawn out love making scenes . Its just that they were so long and drawn out and poorly written that I found my self fast forwarding the book.It really is a shame cause the basic story has a really different take on the end of the world .I have no idea how this book got any 5 star ratings.

When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills - and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle....

When best-selling mystery writer David Rosenfelt and his family moved from Southern California to Maine, he thought he had prepared for everything. They had mapped the route, brought three GPSs for backup, as well as refrigerators full of food, and stoves and microwaves on which to cook them. But traveling with 25 dogs turned out to be a bigger ordeal than he anticipated, despite RVs, the extra kibble, volunteers (including a few readers), and camping equipment.
