The Vagrant is his name. He has no other. Years have passed since humanity's destruction emerged from the Breach. Friendless and alone he walks across a desolate, war-torn landscape. A s each day passes the world tumbles further into depravity, bent and twisted by the new order, corrupted by the Usurper, the enemy, and his infernal horde. His purpose is to reach the Shining City, last bastion of the human race, and deliver the only weapon that may make a difference in the ongoing war.

Written oddly. Slow moving and boring. Performance just as bad. Too many annoying and nasally voices. I don't why so many good reviews. I don't recommend.

Since time immemorial the Spires have sheltered humanity, towering for miles over the mist-shrouded surface of the world. Within their halls aristocratic houses have ruled for generations, developing scientific marvels, fostering trade alliances, and building fleets of airships to keep the peace. Captain Grimm commands the merchant ship Predator. Fiercely loyal to Spire Albion, he has taken their side in the cold war with Spire Aurora, disrupting the enemy's shipping lines by attacking their cargo vessels.

Being a big fan, I can't believe Jim Butcher wrote this. I gave up midway through chapter 8. Don't understand so many good reviews. The characters are boring. The plot is boring - not that there is one. I'd say skip it but all the good reviews... Maybe it gets better but life is too short for me so moving on.

Can't Wait For The Full Release!

While I do miss James Marsters, I found John Glover's reading to be excellent. I disagree with reviews saying John is just "reading" the story. He actually does a great job and gives a wonderful performance. I can't wait until the full release!.
