If you ever wondered what it would sound like if Siri narrated a book, this is it. It’s a shame as this series is charming. Obviously, not great literature, but fun to read. The newer books are narrated by Christina Moore and she does a good job. I wish the earlier books would be re-recorded. I’d buy them then.

This is a poignant, hilarious, unforgettable story from the author of "101 Dalmatians". My daughter and I have read the book and listened to it multiple times. My only complaint is it ends leaving you wanting more.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The narration is not great. Mispronunciations of words are not uncommon. Very disappointed that it was abridged. When searching for this title it comes up as unabridged.

What did you like best about this story?

The story as originally written is fabulous. Hilarious and touching

How did the narrator detract from the book?

See above

Do you think Cheaper by the Dozen needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It has one in print. Belles on their Toes

Any additional comments?

Please produce an unabridged version, with a better narrator.

Would you try another book from E. Nesbit and/or Renee Raudman?

The book is a childhood favorite. I don't like th narrator. She has a breathy voice and her accents are terrible. I've noticed this in other books she narrates. I'm don't understand why Audible uses her so often.

Incongruous accents

The narrator is very annoying. This book takes place in Canada. Why does the narrator put on a SOUTHERN accent when trying to do a local dialect?!?!?! Her voice often sounds as if she is overacting and is overly earnest or wispy. She also mispronounces words. I wish I had chosen another version. L.M.Montgomery's books deserve better.
