After Christian cuts her from his life, Elizabeth spends the next five years struggling to provide for her daughter and willing to sacrifice anything to give her child a safe, comfortable life. For five years, Christian has regretted the day he walked away from his family and will do anything to win them back just as Elizabeth will do anything to protect her daughter from the certain heartache she believes Christian will bring upon them.

A. L. Jackson constantly breaks my heart and puts it back together again and usually it’s new and improved. Her writing is so beautiful and this book is full of heart and soul. And no one can narrate her books better than Andi Arndt. Al Jackson’s words and Andi’s voice are a dream.

Family. Responsibility. Stability. As the co-CEO of Bayou Enterprises and the eldest of the Boudreaux clan, Beau is the epitome of these. Now that his baby sister, Gabby, is happily settled down, Beau has moved into the company loft in the heart of the French Quarter to be closer to his office while his own home is built. He doesn't have time for anything but the family he adores and the company that drives him. If only the bewitching owner of the herb shop downstairs from Beau's loft weren't so damn tempting.

The only permanent thing in my life is the ink I put on my clients. I drift from city to city, in and out of beds, from one tattoo shop to the next. Every time I start to put down roots, I rip them up. Until New Orleans. Until her. She's everything I'm not. Full of fire and life. An innocent where I'm a sinner. I want to consume her. Protect her. Keep her. But first I have to escape from beneath these shadows.

Edie Evans is gorgeous. Sexy. Kind. She's also the definition of off-limits. But that didn't stop me from sneaking into her room to comfort her at night. But guys like me? We destroy everything, so it should have been no surprise when I destroyed us, too. The night I sent her running, I thought I'd never see her again. Until I saw her standing like a vision in the crowd.

She was the one girl I never wanted - until I had her. It was one night, one mistake, something we both wanted to forget. I got rid of the proof. The one piece of evidence that could remind us both. At least I thought I did. When it shows up on the school Buzzfeed, rumors fly. Friendships are tested, and the feels get real. I don't do relationships. I don't open my heart. Especially for a girl everyone knows I hate. What happens during spring break stays in spring break - until it follows you home.

The male narrator's voice felt to old for Brayden. And he sounded like a New Jersey gangster type. Not like a college football player that uses the word "hells" quite a bit. Just my opinion. "Ivy" was great. The story was okay but I felt like there was something missing to make the reader feel the real love connection between the characters. Maybe the next book will fix that for me.

The story was great again. Love the angst and the turmoil and my favorite part of this book was the love and obsession that came through. Gideon melted my heart. The voice for Ava was too proper for the character. She talked as if she was a wealthy older woman. I started to get used to her voice halfway through, but it just didn't match the spunk and demeanor of Ava. Jeremy York's performance of Gideon was excellent.

The most valuable lesson Emerson Moore ever learned was from her parents: Never get too attached to someone else. That's why this hard-partying college student plays by her own code of bedroom conduct, refusing to stay with the same guy for too long. She gets all the pleasure of having a good time without the messiness of a relationship. So what if frat-house hopping has earned her a certain reputation around campus? At least no one gets hurt this way - especially her.

The story is a little boring, lots of mundane activities and I wasn't too fond of the main character. She was a little whiny. The narration was insanely bad. I had to go off audible half way and just read the book. When the narrator didn't sound like a little toddler girl (when speaking for female characters) , she sounded like an elderly black man instead of a hot country boy. I have never rated an audio book poorly. Sorry.

Sebastian Stone, Sunder front man and guitarist with a rap sheet about 10 miles long, escaped to Savannah, Georgia, to get away from the trouble he'd caused, not find more of it. The moment he met Shea Bentley, he saw beneath all her sweetness and innocence something that went deeper. Darker. Their relationship was built on secrets, their love built on lies. Sebastian never imagined how deep her secrets went.

I was mesmerized by Stone in the Sea, and I couldn't wait for the follow up book. This book was so beautifully written. Poetic in just the right way to tell of Shea and Sebastian's story. Sebastian York was the perfect voice for Baz. That deep voice with the impeccable timing and inflection was truly how I heard the bad boy rocker in my head. I am so sad it's over, and I'm hoping that there's a story for the other boys and Austin in the future. Now I'll be off to listen to every book Sebastian York narrates. ☺

Enjoyed hearing things from Christians view. Can't wait for the next release. I am very picky about the narrators of the audio books I listen to, and I have to say that this was the best pairing ever. He had me believing I was listening to Christian himself! Well if he were real, of course. Found the language in this book to be so much more eloquent than the original books. Bravo!
