A refreshing reminder of how small incremental improvements can change our lives. This is not a self-help book but an inspirational journey. Beautiful narration and I loved Rubin's attention to referencing her claims and discoveries.
I listened to it once and then immediately listened to it again with my husband. We both loved it.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS AUDIO BOOK IN PUBLIC.
I laughed so hard that I snorted and almost wet my pants.
You have been warned.

Attenborough is a master in communicating biological science and just thoroughly entertaining. I listened to this book on my morning commute and arrived at working feeling as though I had been at a dinner party listening to an wonderfully interesting guest!

What would have made The Elements of Effort better?

I'm not sure what annoyed me more - the narrator's voice or the story line. To me it seemed conceited....
