Listened to this incredible tale while exercising. I walked extra miles just to keep listening. A story about life, loss, love and the wilds of Alaska. Highly recommend this book.

With the meteoric success of Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All, Allan Gurganus placed himself among America’s most original and emotionally engaged storytellers. If his first comic novel mapped the late nineteenth-century South, Local Souls brings the twisted hilarity of Flannery O’Connor kicking into our new century.

The narrators voice has little inflection. The story’s premise seemed promising, but I just could not listen to it any longer. Please have someone else narrate this book.

The way the story unfolded like layers of an onion kept me interested. The questions of ethics vs what would you do we're thought provoking. Looking forward to reading the Sequel.

Sissy Spacek's narration is superb. What a wonderful way for younger readers to "meet" Atticus, Scout & Jem. My first Audible and I am hooked.
