Long ago, the Monarch Northstrider created a world of his own. This world known as Ghostwater housed some of his most valuable experiments. Now, it has been damaged by the attack of the Bleeding Phoenix, and a team of Skysworn have been sent to recover whatever they can from the dying world. Now, Lindon must brave the depths of this new dimension, scavenging treasures and pushing his skills to new heights to compete with new enemies. Because Ghostwater is not as empty as it seems.

Call me a sucker for anime like novels and this series hits all the marks. This book in particular is fantastic in that it introduces a very funny and humorous support creature to Lindin. I mean he is too serious as well as his companions...well accept Athon but he isn't in the picture that much. Let me just say that this is hands down my favorite fantasy novel series so far.

Like Apollos Thorne's Survive Week One Leve Up or Die is fun and gets to the action fast. The only thing I can say about this is that there are some abilities that the main character gets that are completely OP. Grant it since this is not a game world but a game like reality this is more believable; life isn't fare and all. Another thing I could bring up is the love interest in book 1 and 2. I mean I would like for the relationship to progress past friends and interested. Beyond this the book is exciting and fast pace. Well worth the credit.

Again the author nails it in this continuation of countdown. I am totally invested in the story but beg the people in charge to hand the narrator role off to someone else. This guy has like four voices for all the characters. No accents and half the characters sound like they are talking through a voice box I mean come on. Stop giving this guy five stars people what are your standards? Luke Daniels and Nick Podel are two of my favorites I can think of. Listen to them and then listen to this. There is no contest.
