Maggie Beaumont's luck is about to change. Sure, she's known for her bad romantic choices-her former boyfriend broke up with her by bringing his new girlfriend home for a visit. And then there was the crush she had on a gorgeous young Irishman, who turned out to be Father Tim, the parish's new priest. But romantic salvation has arrived in the form of handsome, if surly, fisherman Malone. It turns out there's a heart of gold underneath his barnacle-clad exterior. Will this catch of the day turn into the dish of a lifetime?

I normally really enjoy Kristan Higgins, this book however was one of the worst ever. The lust after the priest was pathetic and Malone not being able to string complete sentences together, it was just not a good story. Save your money or credit you will be glad you did.

Oh my, this was this worst book in the series everyone mated to each other no one remembering the main character the back and forth confusion. Only listen if you want a headache. It is a shame because this was one of my favorite series and now I am going to stop here. I am sadden because it was so unique and interesting and the author dropped the ball.

For generations the Bradford family has worn the mantle of kings of the bourbon capital of the world. Their sustained wealth has afforded them prestige and privilege - as well as a hard-won division of class on their sprawling estate, Easterly. Upstairs, a dynasty that by all appearances plays by the rules of good fortune and good taste. Downstairs, the staff who work tirelessly to maintain the impeccable Bradford facade. And never the twain shall meet. For Lizzie King, Easterly's head gardener, crossing that divide nearly ruined her life.

I think Jim did a great job! And I do love the BDB series. But I think it is time to start wrapping it up. Sometimes things can just run on and on and seem pointless. I'd hate to lose the greatness of the series because it just doesn't end. And I don't feel we are getting anywhere with the lessing society or the band of bastards and why is Layla still pregnant it is just endless..

First off, not all narrators can do the voice of black women convincingly. With that being said the narrator was horrible! In fact all the voices were horrible and if the story would have been good it would have made the difference. I give it one star and that is because the last hour the story started to make sense it was a painful listen. A odd story with no real direction the last hour an half the story got better, but by that time it was almost over. Not well written, no direction and the little life it had quickly died with the horrible narrator, I hope that if they do the other two books in the trilogy they use a better narrator. Such a Tavia Gilbert a women who is truly capable of making any book come alive. She can do any voice and draw you in.
