This book has been on my wish list for some time. I'm not exactly sure why I put off getting this book, but now that I've listened to the novel, it has become one of my favorites. This is a mature and enthralling story in the vein of The Road by Cormac McCarthy, The Martian by Andy Weir or the movie Cast Away.

This the first time I've seen that a new narrator actually did better than the previous. A few of the pronunciations were not the same, but most were close if not the same.

After reading Brandon Sanderson, Patrick Rothfuss, and GRRM, and waiting patiently for their next novels I was at a loss what to read next, until Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastard series. The series is well developed, entertaining, and engrossing. Luckily the next book is scheduled to be released in a few months.

I have enjoyed very much everything I have read from this author. Brandon Sanderson is diverse, witty, original, and is not confined to a single genre.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES, YES, YES. I was skeptical at first by by the end of season 1 I was on the edge of my seat, and purchasing season 2.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Boricio Wolf, and that ain't no beer battered BS. I feel guilty for admitting it, but he is one of my favorites.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narration was fantastic.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

If you enjoy Dexter, Walking Dead or A Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones) you'll love this.
