Macbeth: A Novel brings the intricacy and grit of the historical thriller to Shakespeare’s tale of political intrigue, treachery, and murder. In this full-length novel written exclusively for audio, authors A. J. Hartley and David Hewson rethink literature’s most infamous married couple, grounding them in a medieval Scotland whose military and political upheavals are as stark and dramatic as the landscape in which they are played.

It was well written blasphemy against Shakespeare and Macbeth.
The author just had to add absolutely gratuitous sex scenes. He made Lady Macbeth into a Disney princess. The witches had more lines than Macbeth himself.
This was almost like enduring a Twilight movie.

She meets the Mock Turtle and the Gryphon, and participates in a ludicrous courtroom scene. Each character has its own charming voice, as B. J. I thoroughly enjoyed this series of audiobooks!
The stories were fun and the characters endearing. I was surprised to find myself rooting out loud for our protagonists.
The hours flew by but being that there were 91 hours, I had plenty time to enjoy.
The narrator had a myriad of good voices for man, woman and child and all the weird and wonderful animals.
The last story of this series was finished by another author (Ruth Plumy Thompson if I'm not mistaken) due to Frank Baum's passing. His death was gently touched upon in the story. It was sad to know this was the end of the series but it was written very well and on a warm note.

Howard Phillips Lovecraft, better known as H.P. Lovecraft, was an American author of horror, fantasy, poetry and science fiction, especially the sub-genre known as weird fiction and many feel he is the acknowledged master of creepy, weird and unsettling stories. These are six stories by Lovecraft that literally span his career; some being written when he was barely a teenager and one ("The Shunned House") only published after he had died.

Struggled to finish.
The inflection and emotion did not fit the mood and action of the stories. The inflection was the same for each and every story so much that I could not tell one from the other.
I guess this last view is more of an opinion but some scenes needed a more husky and manly voice that the quippy, lisping reader did not nearly convey.
