Although I know who Chip and Joanna Gaines are I never regularly watched their TV show. However after listening to this I want to go back and view everyone of their programs. Interesting to note they don’t own a TV and their kiddos don’t sit around playing video games. I love their concept of living life involved totally with each other and them listening to that still small voice of God. It really pays off as He does have amazing things in store for us if we but listen. An excellent book!!

I had hopes this would be similar to a Tom Clancy political thriller but was disappointed. It seemed to just drag on and on. Most of the narration was good except for the man that spoke with the rough hoarse voice reminding me of Bill Clintons voice. That detracted from the story for me. Otherwise I would have given 5 star rating on Performance. Don’t waste your time on this one. James Patterson has done a lot better.

This story is beautiful in so many ways and so emotional. I am trying to type this through my tears. You must listen. It is a clean well written and precise story of a time in our history that I pray will never be forgotten. To have survived being a Jew in Poland was extraordinary. And to have twins that survived is unheard of. I will be looking for other books narrated by Gabra Zackman. Her voice was perfect. I may have to listen again to the whole story in a day or two. You will NOT be disappointed in taking time for this story.

Not sure what I was expecting but couldn’t really get into this book. Maybe because I am into historical novels that are mostly true. The “changing” life forms and “breeding” for a stronger more magical person(?) wasn’t for me.

Just not my cup of tea

I tried hard to get into this story and it could have been the reader but I kept having to go back over and over to pick up what I missed. Maybe if a female voice would have helped. Or maybe it was just the telling of the story instead of the characters acting out the story. Anyway I can’t recommend. Sorry
