I have been blown away by Scott’s life story. Totally a must listen. This is my 2nd book about an astronaut and I am amazed by their total devotion to achieve their goals of walking in space. From his school years and on he experienced so many life challenges and conquering everything he set his mind to do. Highly recommend.

Why exactly Charley Bordelon's late father left her eight hundred sprawling acres of sugarcane land in rural Louisiana is as mysterious as it was generous. Recognizing this as a chance to start over, Charley and her 11-year-old daughter, Micah, say good-bye to Los Angeles. They arrive just in time for growing season but no amount of planning can prepare Charley for a Louisiana that's mired in the past: as her judgmental but big-hearted grandmother tells her, cane farming is always going to be a white man's business.

Highly recommend Ms Natalie Baszile-my first listen to her. The Narrator Miriam Hyman was perfect for the tale. Enjoy!!

I literally spent the last chapter of this book in loud noisy tears!!!

I have a whole new respect for our special forces of our military (it was pretty high already). It was so refreshing to listen to an autobiography of a military nature with no cursing!! And the love he has for his wife to honor her above all else on this earth and his family and his country.

I’m an emotional wreck but loved every minute of this book.

In search of adventure, 29-year-old Conor Grennan traded his day job for a year-long trip around the globe, a journey that began with a three-month stint volunteering at the Little Princes Children's Home, an orphanage in war-torn Nepal. Conor was initially reluctant to volunteer, unsure whether he had the proper skill, or enough passion, to get involved in a developing country in the middle of a civil war. But he was soon overcome by the herd of rambunctious, resilient children.

Interesting to note they don’t own a TV and their kiddos don’t sit around playing video games. I love their concept of living life involved totally with each other and them listening to that still small voice of God. It really pays off as He does have amazing things in store for us if we but listen. An excellent book!!

I had hopes this would be similar to a Tom Clancy political thriller but was disappointed. It seemed to just drag on and on. Most of the narration was good except for the man that spoke with the rough hoarse voice reminding me of Bill Clintons voice. That detracted from the story for me. Otherwise I would have given 5 star rating on Performance. Don’t waste your time on this one. James Patterson has done a lot better.

This story is beautiful in so many ways and so emotional. I am trying to type this through my tears. You must listen. It is a clean well written and precise story of a time in our history that I pray will never be forgotten. To have survived being a Jew in Poland was extraordinary. And to have twins that survived is unheard of. I will be looking for other books narrated by Gabra Zackman. Her voice was perfect. I may have to listen again to the whole story in a day or two. You will NOT be disappointed in taking time for this story.

Not sure what I was expecting but couldn’t really get into this book. Maybe because I am into historical novels that are mostly true. The “changing” life forms and “breeding” for a stronger more magical person(?) wasn’t for me.

Just not my cup of tea
